A few months ago, Astrid's nervous system was running on full alert.
Reactive, on edge, struggling to settle, she was a dog asking for help in the only language she knew how.
Today she is calmer. More settled. More confident.
But here's the thing I want to say loudly today, that progress isn't mine. It's Abbie's. 💛
Because the truth about behaviour work is this: I get to be there for an hour at a time. Abbie is the one who's been there every single day. Practising. Reading her dog. Choosing patience when frustration would have been easier. Trusting the process even when progress felt slow.
That's the real work. That's what changes a dog's life.
So this post isn't a "look what I did." It's a thank you to Abbie, for showing up for Astrid in the way every dog deserves. For choosing to understand her instead of overpower her. For doing the quiet, daily work that no one sees but every dog feels.
Astrid is so lucky to have you. And honestly, I've loved watching you both grow. 🐾
