SHARE!!! There’s a white husky with a black harness on running up and down the road opposite fire station in swalwell. I tried to catch him but he ran off up towards the nursery. PLEASE SHARE!

Halloween can be lots of fun for us, but it can be frightening and risky for our four-legged friends.

🕷️ Keep chocolate & sweets away
Chocolate, sweets and some sugar free treats can be dangerous for dogs. Keep treats well out of reach!

🎃 Watch the decorations
Candles, pumpkins, wires and small decorations can cause burns, choking or stomach problems if chewed or swallowed.

👻 Be careful with costumes
Never force your dog to wear a costume if they seem uncomfortable, frightened or restricted. Keep costumes away from their eyes, ears, mouth and breathing.

🚪 Watch the front door
Constant knocking and visitors in unusual costumes can make dogs anxious. Keep them somewhere calm and secure so they can’t escape.

🐕 Don’t assume every dog enjoys Halloween
Loud noises, strange sights and unfamiliar people can be overwhelming. Give your dog a quiet, safe space to retreat to.

🎆 Be mindful of fireworks
Halloween often overlaps with fireworks season. Keep dogs indoors, close curtains, provide background noise and make sure they are safely identified.

🦴 Keep human food away
Rich, fatty or unfamiliar foods can upset your dog’s stomach. Make sure children know not to share their Halloween treats.

Most importantly… let your dog enjoy Halloween their way!
For some dogs, that means dressing up and joining the fun. For others, it means a cosy bed, a favourite toy and a quiet night in. 🎃🐶

It breaks our hearts to share that our much loved OG Digger has unfortunately been diagnosed with lung cancer.
He’s been such a huge part of our lives and holds such a special place in all of our hearts. He may not be as strong or mobile as he once was, but his spirit is still very much there. ❤️
So, if you see him being carried around in his sling, please know that this is why. He still absolutely loves coming out, seeing what’s going on and being part of everything. He might need a little extra help these days, but that doesn’t stop him wanting to be out and about, taking it all in.
Everyone who loves Digger is making the most of every moment we have with him surrounding him with all the love he deserves with a few extra sweeties along the way ♥️
