🌟 Buzby did amazing on his final session of his package 🌟

We went to a large open field so he had plenty of space but there was lots of challenges still… kids on bikes, kids playing football, dogs running, adults and dogs running, dogs barking, lots of people…

This video sums up how relaxed Buzby was and how far he has come! In our first 2 sessions he struggled to engage in play as he was hypervigilant and worried but look at him go here 🥳🤩

We’ve had great fun completing this course with Dog Trailing 🤩

Stan struggles with tendonitis in his shoulder and has been sore after normal trailing due to straining on the lead and trying to get to the “lost person” asap!! 💨

Learning a new skill to add to our trailing sessions will hopefully help him be able to trail again in the future 🥰

Congratulations to two lovely teams who have completed their Precision Trailing Foundations Course this evening!

Well done Team Millie and Team Stan 👏 👏 👏

These teams have worked really hard over the past month, completing the workshops and also the training between.

It's been interesting seeing their trailing style this evening as it all came together. Their new trailing journey now begins!

The next course starts Wednesday 8th July so grab your space today:

Teddy started a package a couple of weeks ago to help with teaching him alternatives to guarding things he steals!

His family have put lots of work in in between sessions and can already see a huge difference!

Guarding is a common issue I see in dogs I work with but it’s not one that just has to be lived with, I can help you too, just get in touch

A question I often get asked…. What’s the breed of dog you work with most? 🤔

In answer to this I wouldn’t say one breed outweighs the rest (although gundogs are probably up there at the top!).

What I would say is that adolescent dogs are the most common age group I work with!!

That stage that happens between 6 months and 3 years old can be hard work 😓
The cute puppy you had turns into a teenager…
It is also the most common age for dogs to end up in rescue 🥹

And that’s why I have enrolled in a diploma in adolescence 🙌
A deep dive into the why’s, what’s and wherefore’s in order to help support more clients through this testing time with scientific back-up!
I can’t wait to get started 🤩🐾🧠

When you know you’ve been a good boy and put the work in 🤩🐾 And now the baton passes to your sister 🤭

Finn is an anxious lad who struggles with lead walking and impulse control since a house move!
After a full vet check we were able to start making him feel safer on walks and therefore walk better on his lead 🐾

Great work Mr, can’t wait to see the progress in the next couple of weeks 🤩🤞🏻

🤩 We are so excited to be running the dog show at Bradwall Horse Trials on 4th July 🤩

We will also be doing 2 hoopers demonstrations throughout the day with a variety of dogs showcasing the sport 🐕

Thank you to Dig It Dogs for providing us with the rosettes for the lucky winners 🏆

This week has highlighted something to me that I want to chat about…

People feel guilty if their dogs don’t get their usual one or two walks a day when circumstances don’t allow whether that be hot weather, work patterns, poorly family members, poorly owner, poorly dog…

Let me tell you that the photos below show what my dogs did on Tuesday this week 😱
No walk and no training 🤯

Do they seem bothered to you? I know they weren’t. They happily rested, pottered in the garden and snoozed the day away.

Now, I’m not saying that dogs should regularly go without walks and training sessions but on the odd day where life gets busy or hot it’s fine to slow down and just be!! 😴🥰
