In all honesty, having never used a service like the one Dawn offers, we were a touch apprehensive- it’s takes a bit of trust to give access to your home, and more importantly your precious pets, to a stranger.
From the very first phone call Dawn put us at ease. She’s very personable and friendly, but professional too. She asks a load of sensible questions right away (things I might not have even thought to tell her), but her enthusiasm to meet the cats comes across, so we were sure we were dealing with someone doing something she not only loves, but is also good at.
This impression was proven 100% right when Dawn showed up a week prior to our trip to meet the girls and understand what needed doing. There was no hurry, no pressure, no red flags, again a total pro who puts looking after cats the way that will be best for them first. It’s worth specifically mentioning that Dawn was upfront about absolutely everything, costs, added extras, how she would do everything, and if anything she only did more never less.
Communication was as promised, regular and reassuring, totally put us at ease and made the time away from our girls much less stressful. Dawn actually spent way longer with the cats than we expected, really taking the time to have a play with them, not just putting some food in a bowl and driving off.
One of the nicest parts is that Dawn doesn’t drop your key off until she knows you’re home, just so she can have access to your cats if anything happened and you were delayed, the whole experience start to finish was easy, friendly, professional, reliable, and reassuring.
We can’t recommend her enough, would 100% ask her to look in on our cats again, and want to thank her for showing so much love to our girls- if you’re looking for the best, stop looking 😉
