Why do the dogs wear silly hats after the bath?

I use snoods (happy hoodies) when I blow dry the dogs. I know they look cute but they actually serve a purpose. They muffle the sound of the dryers which helps the dogs not get anxious by the sound of the dryer. The material also helps dry the ears so they don’t take as long to blow dry.

I met this gorgeous boy last week! He’s called H**p and he is a 11 month old, Italian Spinone 🐾

Italian Spinones are bred to be an all purpose gundog, traditionally used for tracking, pointing and retrieving game. They are known to be patient, calm, endearing and sometimes a bit stubborn 😂

H**p was a star for his first grooming appointment and we had a great time getting him used to being handstripped 🐾

Why do I love my job?

-I love getting to know the personalities of each dog and working with them. Each dog is an individual so each groom is tailored to their needs.

-I love that there’s always something new to learn. I’ve been in the industry 8 years and have done my CAPG exams but I love to further my knowledge and learn new techniques from seminars, books and videos. I will soon start working towards my masters-ICMG exams.

-I’ve met lots of lovely people including clients and other groomers. Can’t forgot all the gorgeous dogs I’ve met and welcomed into my Müttley Crüe!
