We have a couple of top rules for when you use the paddock. As the autumn starts to set in and the leaves are falling I think it might be time to do a little reminder before the yearly hunt for 💩 in the🍂 🍁 and low light begins.
We run an ‘if you see it, pick it up’ rule here.
It is in the terms you agree to when you make a booking.
It’s a very simple rule that absolves you a little when you accidentally, unknowingly, have left a 💩 or two behind.
If you do not agree to picking up a poo you see that you think ‘might’ not be yours because you didn’t see your dog doing it, please do not come again.
Your paddock usage fee is not to pay someone else to clean up after you.
Do you enjoy walking around an area full of other dogs p**p? No? Neither does the person coming in after you…. And they are going to think it was you if they see you leaving, or they report it and I’LL think it was you from the bookings 👀 you can only attend with a booking, if a report is made, I 100% know it was you in last… what is your excuse for not reporting the amount of mess if it was there when you arrived but did nothing about?
For me, finding more than 2, maybe 3 💩 on a check is a concern. It doesn’t happen often but when it does obviously I’m wondering why the last person in before my check didn’t say anything? Which then leaves me thinking they never checked the paddock before leaving, did they even pick anything up at all?And then the question, was it on purpose and do I ban them from booking again?…. I don’t want people here who think it’s ok to leave it in a mess, even if it wasn’t them, they never cleaned it up and they never told me.
I can’t do anything if I don’t know. 🤷🏼♀️
This paddock runs on honesty, trust, communication, a bit of pride in knowing you did your best keeping it the way you would like to find it and a bit of love ❤️ and I know so many of you absolutely adore using the paddock and book as often as you can fit it in.
I run this paddock to the best of my ability, its just me, there isn’t a large gang of staff or a corporation behind it like some that are popping up around the country, i just have a couple of trusted helpers when I’m in need, and some long term dedicated users who love it as much as I do and treat it like their own, sometimes I struggle, sometimes I’m frustrated by how it’s users have treated it that day, sometimes I have no energy left after life and people have been unkind, but mostly I’m absolutely delighted 🤩 by what I’m met with walking in there.
We really do have some absolute angels visiting our little piece of heaven each week. 🥰
I can never guarantee a 100% clean paddock all the time, but I can guarantee that I will do my absolute best to keep it as clean as is humanly possible and encourage its users to treat it with the respect it deserves. There will always be the few who spoil things, but when we work together and communicate, we can w**d them out. 😉
Thank you for being kind, responsible, clean, honest and enthusiastic users of paws and play paddock ❤️ let’s keep it that way 😉
