I’m sorry I’ve been so quiet over the summer! We’ve had lots of change here, juggling busy diaries, fitting in holidays, and enjoying some much-needed quiet time. 💕
But… let’s talk grass seeds! 🌾🐶
I’ve seen so many grass seeds in dogs’ feet this year, and we’ve also had a huge number reported in ears — including my own dog! 😩
Why is regular grooming so important?
When we groom your dog, we don’t just make them look and feel lovely. We also inspect them from nose to tail.
Those small, fine details can allow us to spot (most, but not all) grass seeds, thorns, ticks and other changes to your dog’s coat or skin.
Sometimes we can safely remove what we find, but unfortunately, there are times when something needs to be referred to your vet for further investigation or removal.
Regular grooming appointments are therefore so important — not just for keeping your dog looking gorgeous, but for helping us keep an eye on their overall wellbeing too. ❤️
