🐾 Tick check reminder! 🐾

During today’s groom, I found and safely removed two ticks hiding in one of my lovely client’s coat.

Ticks can be easy to miss, especially after walks in long grass, fields, or woodland areas, so it’s always worth giving your pup a quick check when you get home.

Regular grooming isn’t just about keeping your dog looking their best – it’s also a great opportunity to spot things like ticks, matting, and skin concerns.

Make sure your dog’s tick treatment is up to date, and if you’re ever worried about anything you find, speak to your vet.

Senior dogs hold a special place in our hearts. Whether it’s extra cuddles, a slower-paced walk, or simply a cosy spot to relax, we make sure every dog receives the care and attention they deserve.

Today was a very special day here – my own little puppy had his very first puppy introduction groom! 🩵

I may be a little biased, but just look at that face… he is absolutely adorable! 🥹

A puppy introduction groom is so important because it’s all about creating a positive first experience. Rather than focusing on a full groom, we gently introduce puppies to the sights, sounds and sensations they’ll experience throughout their grooming journey.

During a puppy groom, we help them get comfortable with:
✨ Being handled
✨ The bath and drying process
✨ Having their paws touched
✨ Brushing and combing
✨ The grooming table and equipment
✨ Lots of praise, cuddles and treats!

Starting grooming at a young age helps build confidence, reduces anxiety and makes future grooming appointments much less stressful for both puppy and owner.

The goal is for every puppy to leave happy, relaxed and looking forward to their next visit. 🐶

🐾 Puppy First Nail Trim Day! 🐾

Today we welcomed some adorable little puppies for their very first nail trims! 💕 While it might seem like a small part of grooming, introducing nail care early is incredibly important.

Regular nail trimming helps puppies become comfortable with having their paws handled, making future grooming and vet visits much less stressful. It also prevents nails from becoming too long, which can affect posture, movement, and overall comfort as they grow.

The first few experiences are all about building confidence and creating positive associations. Lots of patience, gentle handling, and plenty of praise help set these little ones up for a lifetime of stress-free grooming. 🐶✨
