Starting My Dream Job – Dog Walking/Visits in My Spare Time 🐾
Hi, I’m Atlanta!
Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I’m so excited to finally begin turning my passion into something I can share with others.
I currently work for Royal Mail as my main income, but alongside that, I’m offering dog walking and home visits in my spare time — with the goal of growing this into a full-time career in the future.
A little about my background:
I worked in a boarding kennels for over 4 years, caring for up to 70 dogs at a time on my own — all breeds, ages, and temperaments. That experience gave me incredible hands-on knowledge in handling, care, and understanding different personalities.
Before that, I studied Animal Care (Level 3) at college for 3 years. During my studies, I also gained practical experience working on a farm, which further strengthened my knowledge and confidence around animals of all kinds.
At home, I have a beautiful German Shepherd called Raven. She has taught me so much — especially about behaviour, temperament, and body language. She’s a sensitive soul, and learning to understand her has given me a deeper appreciation for how every dog communicates differently. That understanding is something I bring to every dog I meet.
There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing a dog thrive, feel safe, and truly enjoy life. That’s exactly why I’ve started this journey.
