It’s been super busy here with all our lovely boarders enjoying their holidays with us! 🥰🐶

I’m not always the best at keeping up with posting photos — mainly because when they’re here, we’re so busy enjoying them, keeping everyone happy and getting involved in all the fun that taking and uploading pictures sometimes gets forgotten! 😂❤️

A little something about me that some of you may not know… 🐴❤️

Most of you know me for my love of dogs and, of course, Holmatil Home Boarding 🐾, but long before dogs became such a huge part of my everyday life, there was another passion that pretty much shaped my whole childhood and younger years — horses.

Horses have always been a massive part of who I am, and although life, work, family and lots of dogs mean I don't get quite as much time for them these days, that passion has never gone away. Maria follows closely in my footsteps for her love of riding horses too.

I was incredibly lucky growing up to have some amazing ponies and experiences. I competed all over the country, winning at shows including HOYS three times, the Royal International and many of the county shows, before going on to represent Great Britain at the European Eventing Championships in Germany, where we came home with a bronze medal. 🇬🇧🥉

It's something I don't really talk about very often — mainly because I've never been very good at talking about my own achievements! 🙈 But they are memories and experiences I'm incredibly grateful for and a big part of my story.

Yesterday I got to step back into that world when I was invited to judge the Supreme Championship at the British Elite, which was a real privilege. Even more special was having my daughter Maria there with me, helping with the prize giving. ❤️

So, just a little glimpse into the person behind all the dogs! 🐶🐴

Dogs may fill most of my days now, which we love but horses will always have a very special piece of my heart. ❤️

🐾 Our garden is always full of happy faces and wagging tails! 🐾

We are having a wonderful time making memories with our lovely holiday guests. From chasing toys and making new friends to belly rubs, cuddles and relaxing in the sunshine, every day has been filled with fun.

There's nothing better than seeing happy, content dogs enjoying their own little holiday while their families are away. We love watching their personalities shine and making sure every stay is full of love, play and plenty of home comforts. ❤️
