🌿 The field is looking absolutely beautiful right now! 🌿

After finally getting some dry weather, we’ve been able to give the grass a much-needed cut and everything is looking lush, green and ready for zoomies! 🐾

The wildflowers are also starting to put on a show in our Sniffari area 🌸🌼. So far we’ve spotted:

🌸 Cornflowers
California poppies
🌼 Scentless mayweed (false chamomile)
💛 Plenty of cheerful buttercups

It’s one of our favourite times of year as the field really starts to come alive, with lots of interesting sights, smells and textures for curious noses to explore.

Frank’s Freedom Field was built by dog owners, for dog owners.

As owners of a large pack of huskies and malamutes, we know what matters when you’re out with your dogs.

The temperatures have finally cooled a little which means happier dogs, longer sniffs and much more enjoyable zoomies! 🌿

Our wild area and willow arch are looking especially lush at the moment and the dogs are absolutely loving exploring through the longer grass again.

There’s still plenty of open space for those high speed husky moments too of course 💨🐾

☀️ Temperatures are set to rise over the next few days. While many of us will be enjoying the warmer weather, it can be much harder for our four-legged friends — especially in these early days of summer before they’ve had chance to properly acclimatise. 🐾

Please remember to think carefully before exercising your dog in higher temperatures. Heatstroke can happen quickly and can become extremely serious in a very short time.

A quick reminder from us at Frank’s Freedom Field — we are ALWAYS happy to accept last-minute reschedules if the weather conditions are extreme and you don’t feel it’s safe for your dog to exercise. Your dog’s safety will always come first. ❤️

You can reschedule or cancel online using the links in your booking confirmation and reminder email up to 12 hours before your slot. After that, feel free to message me via WhatsApp or text right up until your appointment start time if needed.

🌿✨ The recent rain has transformed our “wild” area into a little doggy paradise! ✨🌿

The grass is much longer than normal at the moment and the dogs are absolutely loving exploring all the different scents, pathways and hidden corners 🐾💚

The buttercups growing around the willow arch are looking especially beautiful right now too 🌼🌿

For anyone who prefers space for full-speed zoomies — don’t worry! We still have plenty of short grass and wide open areas for running, playing ball and burning off energy 🐕💨

And for the humans… we’ve recently had a lovely big picnic table/bench kindly donated by one of our wonderful customers ❤️ Perfect for sitting down with a coffee and having a well deserved rest while supervising the zoomies ☕🐾

We really love how the field changes through the seasons — it feels especially magical at the moment ✨

Wet field update 🌧️🐾

After all the recent rain, the field is very wet underfoot. The hose is set up in the car park so you can rinse off muddy dogs and boots before getting back in the car.

The d**e is very high at the moment, but we’re monitoring it closely and keeping everything crossed we avoid any flooding. The Trent is dropping, albeit very slowly, after Tuesday’s deluge — so fingers crossed levels continue to come down.

If you’re visiting next week, please wear proper waterproof footwear and bring towels for your dogs — they will get wet!
