New Milton Cattery

New Milton Cattery Small family run cattery in New Milton with 8 boarding rooms. I also have a Labrador who is good with cats as she ignores them!

My name is Jenny and, as a pet owner myself, I understand the importance of being able to leave your cats with someone who will give them the very best of care in a safe and caring environment. Cats are used to home comforts as they live in our homes with us, so why not give them similar home comforts while in boarding? Our boarding rooms are homely and comfortable and suit all types of cats - ind

oor, outdoor, elderly, young and disabled. Your cats are regularly visited throughout the day to ensure the litter trays are kept clean, food and water topped up, and to provide play & attention to keep your cats occupied. I understand that it can be stressful leaving a beloved pet while you go away and am happy to give regular Messenger, WhatsApp and Text updates - and take photos, if you would like me to.

I do have my own cats. My own pets will not come into contact with any cats boarding with me but your cats may be able to see them from their boarding rooms.

I am licensed for Home Cat Boarding by New Forest District Council (licence number 1092/7) and fully insured with Protectivity. I am also CRB checked, First Aid Certified and have Level 3 In Cat Behaviour & Psychology

We are currently able to offer:

🔹 Routine dog castrates
🔹 Ear flushes
🔹 A**l sac flushes

Subject to staffing availability, we may also be able to perform:

This is a more recent email I received from NFDC regarding booster vaccines.
I hope you will now understand why I am asking that all boosters are administered prior to the expiry of the previous booster.
What I don’t understand is why local vets don’t seem to know about it and other catteries don’t seem to know about it.
I do apologise to my clients if this is causing confusion between what I am telling them and what their vets are telling them.
I have asked that NFDC look into this as there is clearly a lack of communication between those that know and those that need to know.
Thank you for your understanding.

This is the email I received from NFDC confirming ‘no gaps allowed’ between vaccines.

It has been brought to my attention that other catteries and vets are still advising cat owners that late annual boosters are acceptable as long as they are administered no later than three months past the due date.
THIS IS NOT CORRECT.
Local Authorities who issue the boarding licences require all booster vaccines to be administered BEFORE the due date. For example, if your cat’s vaccine was last administered on 6th June 2025, the next booster must be administered no later than 6th June 2026.
I am merely following the rules under my boarding licence.
I have had to turn away potential clients because they are not being made aware of these rules by vets and other catteries.
I have requested a letter from the environmental department at the NFDC confirming the vaccine rules, which I will post on my FB page and website so that cat owners will see that the vaccine rules do indeed apply TO ALL CATTERIES.
If your cat’s booster vaccine is due soon, please make sure it is administered BEFORE the 12 months are up!!
Thank you. 🐈‍⬛
