Lonsdale Equestrian Michael Lonsdale is an established Showjumping Rider, coach, trainer with over 25 years experience.

Michael grew up with a non-horsey family but found horses were his passion and started eventing when he was 17. Based with an international showjumping rider for 3 years in the UK, Michael then set up his own livery and training yard in West Sussex. He could now focus on competing and training resulting in International appearances and a win at the Horse of the Year Show in the Puissance clearing

7’ together with a 5th place in the Hickstead Derby. Michael has trained and competed youngsters to International Grand Prix in the UK and Europe and has been based in Germany in a top yard in recent years. Michael offers a wealth of experience to his clients and owners, and is keen to encourage all levels of both rider and horse. We are excited to announce the arrival of our Equine water treadmill, based in Bramdean Hampshire.
Designed to support rehabilitation, conditioning, fitness, and overall wellbeing, water treadmill sessions provide a low-impact way to build strength, improve movement, and aid recovery while reducing stress on joints.
Whether your horse is returning from injury, improving performance, or maintaining peak condition, we look forward to welcoming you and your horses. Bookings available soon, stay tuned for updates!

It has been so nice and helpful having the Wood Farm Treadmill in the very next door barn to us here at Lonsdale Equestrian during this heat Wave.

Thank you to the Silk Family for creating this incredible welcoming and relaxed space. The horses love it.

Full / Training/ Competition Livery available at our beautiful base located between Alton and Wi******er in Hampshire.

We have some of the best facilities and off road hacking to really help get the very best from both horse and rider.
An onsite water Treadmill is also available to really maximise fitness and strength for all horses at what ever level.

Every horse is different so please get in touch to discuss how we can help.
This can be on a short or long term basis, new owners are also welcome to join the team.

National and international competitions are planned for the year.
