The University of Liverpool and the Veterinary Medicines Directorate are currently working on AMR surveillance strategies in healthy horses. Some vet practices are already recruiting owners and we encourage vets and owners to take part if approached.

We will soon start a citizen science study from summer 2026 where horse owners can sign-up online and participate directly. We would appreciate any vets to encourage their clients to take part.
