A little bit about me

Having worked in the travel industry for over 20 years, I took the opportunity of redundancy in the hope of finding a new vocation in life (call it a mid-life crisis). Whilst I was out of work, we welcomed 2 Chow Chow puppies into our family where they would be joining their older and much wiser sister Daisy, a 15 year old Border Terrier Cross. Now, if you know anything about Chow Chows, you will know that they have a LOT of hair. In order to maintain their ever growing fluff, I invested in lots of brushes and combs, a grooming table and a blaster dryer. After a short while, I soon realised that I enjoyed spending my time pampering my own pooches and this is where it all began...

I enrolled on a course to gain a qualification in Level 3 OCN dog grooming which I completed in late 2019. I then decided that I would like to specialise in 1:2:1 grooming meaning that my customers would be left feeling calm and relaxed and hopefully enjoying their pamper experience. My salon is in my garden at home, which means your dog can roam around the garden (weather permitting of course) or simply sniff around the salon getting used to the environment before their groom begins.

Their pamper begins in a Hydrobath which is so effective that it can bath a small dog in 5 minutes (15 minutes for a giant breed) and this ensures that it minimises any unfamiliar sensations for your dog. During the groom, if your dog starts to show any signs of feeling uneasy, I am trained in Tellington TTouch which is a kind way of helping dogs to deal with anxiety. Once their groom is complete, their nails will be trimmed, ears will be cleaned and a gorgeous doggy cologne applied leaving them smelling amazing.
