🔦Benefits on Class 4 laser wound healing🔦

✅Faster tissue repair: Photons stimulate cell growth and reproduction in damaged tissues.
✅Increased cellular energy: Light boosts ATP (adenosine triphosphate) production, which gives cells more fuel to heal.
✅Improved circulation: Blood vessels widen (vasodilation) to bring more oxygen and nutrients straight to the wound site.
✅Less scar tissue: The treatment helps form healthier type-1 collagen and reduces messy fibrous scar tissue.
✅Lower inflammation: It calms the local immune response and reduces swelling around the injury.
✅Infection support: It helps the body manage inflammation and clear out damaged cells in hard-to-heal or minor infected wounds

🌈🌈 Rainbow Bridge Rememberance Day 🌈🌈

Today is 28th August which is a special day for remembering those special equids that hold a special place in our heart.
The team at Rookery Equine all have experienced heart break from losing a special character in their life.
This is Zoe - one that left this earth at 18 years young. A fantastic mare that taught Grace the discipline and trust needed to make a partnership special. Having won many competitions together, Zoe even bowed out with a win in her last BS competition.
We would love to see your rainbow bridge animals and hear any stories you would like to share with us ♥️

Autumn is in the air… and so is stable dust, fungal spores, and dampness 🍂🐴As the seasons change and horses spend more time inside, many start to feel the effects of respiratory irritants like dust from forage and bedding. Cooler weather also brings wet fields, making their skin vulnerable to seasonal conditions like mud fever and rain scald. That’s where halotherapy (salt therapy) can make a real difference.
By helping to clear congested airways, loosen deep mucus, and reduce inflammation, halotherapy is a natural, drug-free way to keep your horse breathing easily.
Its antibacterial and antifungal properties also help soothe irritated skin, clear sores, and prevent seasonal skin issues.
Whether they’re staying fit through winter or winding down in the field, better breathing and clean skin means better wellbeing. 🧂🫁 autumncare

Electric muscle stimulators (EMS) can offer several benefits for horses on box rest, helping to maintain their muscle tone and overall well-being. Here are some key benefits:

💪Muscle Maintenance - EMS can help prevent muscle atrophy by stimulating muscle contractions, which is especially important for horses that are unable to exercise due to injury or recovery.

🌀Improved Circulation - The stimulation can enhance blood flow to the muscles, aiding in nutrient delivery and waste removal, which can support healing and recovery.

⛔️Reduced Muscle Soreness - EMS can help alleviate stiffness and soreness in muscles, making the horse more comfortable during its rest period.

🥲Pain Relief - The electrical stimulation may have analgesic effects, helping to reduce pain and discomfort associated with injuries or immobility.

🎯 - Flexibility and Range of Motion : Regular use of EMS can assist in maintaining flexibility and range of motion in joints and muscles, which is crucial for rehabilitation.

🧠 Psychological Benefits - Engaging the muscles through stimulation can provide mental stimulation for the horse, keeping them more engaged and reducing boredom during prolonged box rest.

🐎Faster Recovery - By promoting muscle health and circulation, EMS may contribute to a quicker overall recovery process when the horse is ready to return to work.

🏆 Don’t let a splint derail your competition season finals!

Hard summer ground and intense performance schedules can quickly lead to painful, active splints.

When traditional rest and ice aren’t working fast enough to get your horse back into the arena, it’s time to upgrade your rehabilitation toolkit with Limfa Therapy.

Limfa® Therapy is a cutting-edge, non-invasive magneto-electric treatment designed to accelerate healing from the inside out.

By delivering precise digital signals to the cells, it jumpstarts the body’s natural repair mechanisms without any stress or downtime for your horse.

Here is how Limfa Therapy targets splints to save your season:

⚡ Reduces Inflammation: It rapidly targets acute swelling and heat in the early stages of a splint.

🔄 Boosts Local Circulation: Increases blood flow precisely around the splint bone to deliver vital nutrients for repair.

🦴 Accelerates Bone & Tissue Healing: Speeds up the resolution of bone oedema and microdamage caused by hard ground.

😌 Drug-Free Pain Relief: Alters cellular electrochemical balance to safely relieve discomfort and stiffness without relying solely on medications.

🎒 Zero Stress Treatment: The therapy is completely painless and well-tolerated, most horses only feel a gentle, relaxing sensation.

Whether you are dealing with a fresh, hot splint or a stubborn chronic lump, this therapy helps reduce splint size and supports long-term recovery alongside controlled exercise.
