🐶 Dogs wanted for baths tomorrow! 🛁🐶

We’re looking for a few dogs to come into college tomorrow for our students to practise their bathing and drying skills.

All dogs will be handled and worked on by students under close supervision from a qualified dog grooming tutor throughout the session.

Ideally, dogs should be comfortable with being bathed, dried and handled and be happy in a college environment.

If you have a dog who would like a little pamper tomorrow, please comment below or message me. 🐾❤️

Dog models wanted!

Now that the new college year has started, we are looking for dogs to be used by our students during practical grooming sessions in our Houghall Campus Dog Grooming Salon.

Dogs need to be:
• Confident in the bath
• Friendly in temperament
• Not matted

🐾 Important Update 🐾

As many of you know, I have been struggling with an ongoing back problem, which has become significantly worse over the last couple of weeks. Dog grooming is an incredibly physical job, and unfortunately working with a bad back has become extremely challenging.

A lot of people don't realise just how demanding dog grooming is. Every day involves bending, lifting, supporting dogs on the table, moving them safely in and out of the bath, standing for long periods, and working in awkward positions. Larger or more difficult dogs require considerably more strength and physical effort, and I have reached the point where I need to be realistic about what my back can manage.

To prevent further injury and give myself the best chance of recovering, I will be limiting my workload and, for the time being, I will no longer be able to groom the bigger, more difficult dogs. This has been a very difficult decision to make because I genuinely love every dog that comes through my door, and I hate the thought of letting anyone down. However, continuing to work through the pain simply isn't sustainable.

During the school holidays I will also be working reduced grooming days, and from September I will be increasing my teaching days at college. As a result, my grooming availability will be much more limited, and my books are currently closed.

I want to thank all of my wonderful clients for your understanding, patience and continued support. Your kindness and loyalty mean more to me than you know, and I truly appreciate every one of you ❤️
