🌈🐾 RUN FREE, TED 🐾🌈

Yesterday, we sadly lost a very special member of the Whiskers and Wings family. 💔

For the last 2½ years, Ted enjoyed his walks around the farm before jumping in the dog taxi to head off to Grandma’s. 🚕🐾

He was already an old boy when I took him on, and just a few weeks ago he celebrated his 13th birthday. 🎂❤️

As with all the animals we care for, Ted became so much more than just a client. They become part of our lives, and saying goodbye is never easy.

I was lucky enough to see him and say goodbye on Monday. He still got up to greet me and enjoyed a couple of cheeky treats — very much Ted. 🥹❤️

Overstone Gate Pet Treat Hut officially opens THIS SATURDAY! 🥳

🎁 The first 10 furry visitors get a little treat on us! 🐶🐱💕

We’ll be there from 10am for the Grand Opening, then we’ll leave you to browse and pick out something special for your pets! 🦴🐾

🚗🐾 And just like that… we’re on our way home! 🐾🚗

We’re heading back from Wales and, as much as we’ve loved our family time away, we’re already looking forward to getting stuck back into work! 💕

We’re not wasting any time either… we’ve got cats, guinea pigs and a leopard gecko to visit this evening, a dog sit and walk tomorrow, and then we’re fully back to work from Monday and aiming to get back to all messages as soon as we can. 🐱🐶

Thanks so much to all our lovely clients for your patience while we’ve been away — we can’t wait to see you all again! 🐾

🎉🐾 3 YEARS OF WHISKERS & WINGS! 🐾🎉

Today marks 3 years of Whiskers & Wings! 🥳❤️

Three years of walking dogs, caring for cats and all the other wonderful pets entrusted into our care. Three years of muddy paws, wet noses, waggy tails, cuddles, adventures and A LOT of memories along the way! 🐶🐱🐰🐾

What started as an idea has grown into a business I am incredibly proud of, and I genuinely couldn't have done it without all of the amazing people who have trusted me with their beloved pets.

To every client, past and present — thank you! 🥹❤️ Thank you for your support, recommendations, kind words, loyalty and for allowing me to do a job I genuinely love every single day.

And of course, a huge thank you to all of the four-legged (and sometimes feathered, furry and scaly!) members of the Whiskers & Wings family. You are the reason I do what I do. ❤️
And what better way to celebrate 3 years of Whiskers & Wings than with something brand new... 👀🐾

🎉 THE PET TREAT HUT – OVERSTONE GATE IS OPENING! 🎉

We had hoped to have our grand opening this weekend, but we're still here in Wales enjoying some much-needed family time. ❤️

Rather than rush back and rush the opening, we've decided to take a little extra time to get everything just right. We want the Pet Treat Hut to live up to the standards we've set for ourselves with Whiskers & Wings — and we're not prepared to compromise on that just to open a few days earlier. 🐾

So... NEXT WEEKEND it is! 🎉

We can't wait to finally open the doors and welcome you (and your four-legged friends!) to the Pet Treat Hut at Overstone Gate. 🐶🍖❤️

🌊🐾 DAY ONE: WE MADE IT! 🐾🌊

Well… we’ve officially arrived in Wales, and Troy has wasted absolutely no time making himself at home! 😂🐕

First stop? The beach, obviously! 🌊
There was running…
There was swimming… 🌊
There were zoomies…
There were VERY sandy paws… 😂🐾

And yes, before anyone asks… Flo & Ruby are NOT here! 🤣
The girls are having a lovely holiday of their own at home with Grandma because, quite frankly, we couldn't trust either of them to roam freely on a beach! 😂

Ruby would be far too busy snuffling out everyone's picnics 🧺👃😂 while Flo would probably be a tiny speck on the horizon within about 30 seconds! 🏃‍♀️💨

Now, Flo does always come back pretty quickly, but in an unfamiliar place we'd rather not risk her losing sight of us — especially with a beach and all that open space! 🙈😂

Spaniels… if you know, you know! 😂

So Troy got the lucky ticket for this adventure — and he’s having the absolute time of his life! ❤️🐕
We even managed to catch this beautiful evening before heading back to the caravan. 🌅

Now we're absolutely shattered, so we're off to bed! 😴

Day one done. Wales, you're off to a pretty good start! ❤️🌊🐾

🐾 ROAD TRIP READY! 🚗🐾

The Whiskers & Wings family are officially road trip ready! ❤️🐶🍬

We’re heading off for some much-needed family time and will be home on 15th August.

📱 Messages and enquiries will still be received, but replies may be a little slower while we’re away. I’ll get back to everyone in due course once we’re home and back into the swing of things.

A BIG thank you to for fuelling us along the way! 🍬😋 We think we’ve got enough sweets to keep the whole family going for the journey! 😂

⚠️ A message to our local pet owners. 🐾

Just a few days ago I had the pleasure of meeting Cherry and her lovely owner. Seeing the update today was truly heartbreaking.

Thankfully Cherry has been found and is back home, but she was discovered with her fur shaved off in very unusual circumstances.

As many of our customers are local to Overstone Gate and the surrounding areas, we'd like to encourage everyone to be extra vigilant. If you have cats that roam, it may be worth keeping them in a little more over the next few days where possible, and please report anything suspicious to the relevant authorities.

We're sending all our love to Cherry and her family and hope she makes a full recovery. ❤️🐱

Update on Ace 🐹💙

He was an absolute superstar at the vets today.

His heart is nice and strong, and he didn't need any sedation at all while his teeth were checked and trimmed.

The vet found that his lower incisors are a little wobbly, so he'll be sticking to softer foods and having regular dental checks from now on. 💙

Tonight, it's one of our own needing a little extra TLC... 🐹❤️

I noticed our Syrian hamster, Ace, had lost a little weight, so after giving him a check over I found his lower front teeth had become overgrown, making it difficult for him to eat.

So tonight he's had a soft emergency supper to help keep him comfortable and get a few calories into him until we can get him to the vets for a dental tomorrow.

Thankfully he's still his usual cheeky, confident self. After a few mouthfuls, he was straight back to climbing the bars and demanding to come out, before going back for more! 💙

Fingers crossed for him tomorrow. 🤞🐹
