He really is my best friend ❤️

I’ve been grooming Rodney for over five years now, and he’s an absolute superstar from start to finish. Every visit, he comes in for the full VIP treatment – mud bath, teeth clean, folds wiped, the lot!

I picked him up from his mum, and while we’re chatting away, Rodney spends the entire time staring at the door as if to say, “Come on, hurry up! I’ve got a pamper session waiting for me!” 🤣

He knows exactly where he’s going and is always ready for a bit of well-deserved spoiling. We adore having him in the salon, and it’s been such a privilege to watch him over the years.

This is exactly why we encourage puppies to start their grooming journey as soon as they are old enough to come to the salon.

We understand that some people may think puppy introductions are simply an added expense, but they play a vital role in a dog’s welfare and future grooming experience. Early visits help puppies become comfortable with the sights, sounds and handling involved in grooming, making the process far less stressful as they grow.

Many owners are also unaware of the maintenance requirements of certain breeds and crossbreeds. Unfortunately, breeders don’t always explain that breeds such as Cockapoos, Cavapoos and other long-coated dogs require regular professional grooming alongside daily brushing at home to prevent matting.

When puppies aren’t introduced to grooming early, or their coat maintenance needs aren’t fully understood, matting can develop very quickly. Matting is not only uncomfortable but can also cause pain, skin irritation and, in severe cases, may leave us with no option but to clip the coat short.

Our goal is always to educate, support and work with owners to keep their dogs happy, comfortable and looking their best throughout their lives. 🐾💕
