‼️ ANNOUNCEMENT ‼️
As we start looking towards moving into our 7th year, we’ve taken some time to think about how far we’ve come, and how we’d like to run MM in the coming years.
We’ve reflected on going from a few hobby pet spider and mantis pairings, to running a full time business - we never expected things to take off like they did and boy did it come as a shock at times.
There has been lots of learning, mistakes made and also the most amazing achievements we couldn’t have ever expected to take from MM. We’ve made friends across the country, attended buzzing shows, co authored published papers, and produced one of the most sought after selective bred lines in the uk - All things we’re incredibly proud of and won’t leave fully behind.
That being said, since launching MM Invertebrates, our lives have changed a lot. I’ve gone from a stay at home mum with two babies and plenty of time between naps and nursery to run a small hobby business on the side, which has grown to a full time job with two boys growing even faster with endless amounts of energy. Recently our youngest son has been diagnosed with ADHD and is now undergoing an autism assessment. He attends school for 1 hour a day, and between that I attend appointments, meetings, school activities. Outside of that, he needs supervision from me at all times to keep himself safe.
Unfortunately this means that I’m no longer able to give the business the attention it needs to run smoothly while our lives are in this phase. So with that being said, MM Invertebrates will be closing as a business at the end of the year and we will be dialling down over the coming months. This will come in phases, first we will close our decor Friday 25th at midnight to allow anyone needing last bits, then our website will close once all orders are completed and then we will move on any remaining stock to fellow breeders etc.
So how will we will be running MM going forwards? You’ll find us here! Just this page, just our selective lines and back to just keeping spiders!
We aren’t disappearing we will be sharing our pandas and will have them available in our starter home bundles as usual but just here, just us and just them.
We hope you understand our change in direction and continue to support us in keeping these incredible arachnids going forwards! Thanks for everything guys!
