dog owners ๐ŸŒก๏ธ๐Ÿถ

Please avoid walking dogs during the hottest parts of the day.

Pavements can burn paws and heat can quickly become dangerous.

โœ… Walk early in the morning or later in the evening
โœ… Keep dogs cool with shade and fresh water
โœ… Use cooling mats, paddling pools or damp towels if needed

โŒ NEVER leave a dog unattended in a car โ€” even for a few minutes

โš ๏ธ Signs of heatstroke in dogs:
โ€ข Excessive panting
โ€ข Drooling
โ€ข Lethargy or weakness
โ€ข Vomiting or diarrhoea
โ€ข Bright red gums or tongue
โ€ข Confusion, wobbling or collapsing

๐Ÿšจ If you suspect heatstroke
-Move them somewhere cool immediately
โ€ข Offer small amounts of cool waterโ€ข Pour cool (not ice cold) water over their body, especially paws, tummy and neckโ€ข Use wet towels or a fanโ€ข Contact a vet urgently
