Look who popped in to say hello yesterday! 🐾❤️

Meet Alfie! As his tag rightly says, he really is a total "Handsome Devil"! 😉🐶

He showed off his best "sit up" manners at the till—we couldn't resist giving this charming boy some extra love🥹

Thank you for visiting us, Alfie! We hope to see your handsome face (and cute tricks) again soon! 🦴✨

A huge thank you to everyone who took the time to share your stories with me ❤️🐾

I honestly wasn’t expecting such a lovely response to my post, and reading all of your experiences, advice and positive stories has been so reassuring and comforting. 🥹❤️

It really means so much that so many of you took the time to comment, share your experiences and offer words of encouragement. Sometimes hearing from other pet owners who have been through the same thing is exactly what you need. 🐶🐾

We really do have the loveliest customers, and I’m so grateful to be part of such a kind and supportive pet-loving community. ❤️

Thank you all so much for your lovely messages — they’ve meant more to me than you know. 🥰🐾❤️

Hi everyone, it’s Steph ❤️🐾

Today’s post is a little more personal than my usual ones, as I’m actually posting this as me rather than from the page. ❤️

I’m hoping some of you lovely dog owners might be able to share your experiences with me, because I’m feeling completely heartbroken and honestly quite scared right now. 😔😭

We found out yesterday that our beautiful Trudy has torn cruciate ligaments in both of her back knees, and she’s going to need surgery on both. She’s only four, and it’s just completely knocked me for six🥺

Some of you may know that we previously lost our other dog, Betsy, after she suffered with IVDD and had to have spinal surgery. So finding out Trudy needs surgery has brought back a lot of those feelings, and I’m really struggling with the thought of her being away from us, having surgery and then having such a long recovery. 💔

I’ve been reading about cruciate surgery and the recovery afterwards and I’d really love to hear from anyone who has been through this, especially if your dog has had both cruciates affected.

What was the recovery actually like? And most importantly, did your dog go on to have a good quality of life and enjoy their normal walks again?

I’m honestly just looking for some positive stories, reassurance and a bit of hope from people who have been through it and come out the other side. ❤️

Thank you so much. 🐾❤️
Steph & Trudy x
