Introducing Abbey with the Star student of the week, Milo. This is only Milo's third 1 to 1 lesson at DTM and as you can see she has already got the basics of sit, wait, recall on the whistle and come to heel. She also has a good "down" on voice command and we are working to do the same but on a whistle command. A testament to Abbey who is putting a lot of training time at home with Milo. The amazing thing is that Milo is not yet 20 weeks old. for more information on 1 to 1 training with us please follow the link below.

Here we have Danielle and Tuc on the last of their training journey with us up in Maeshafn woods, training in the real world. Still only just over 4 months old, Tuc has come a long way since first coming to see us and is already an outstanding little pup. Danielle is now able to take what she has learned with us and use that knowledge to further develop Tuc’s skills. Danielle was king enough to leave us a positive review (our 36). Here we have 18 month old Cocker Spaniel, Betty, belonging to Jean and Vic Owen. Neither Vic or Jean had the confidence to let Betty off lead so Betty’s freedom had to be restricted. All that has now changed. Betty came and went through a course of basic obedience with us and now has complete freedom as can be seen in the film clip practicing with Vic on a whistle command recall exercise up in Maeshafn woods. Now, taking the dog out is fun.
Jean took the time and penned for us a very nice review (the 34th) which can be seen via:-

Here is Daniella with Tuc the Cocker Spaniel now aged about 4 months. They have been coming to Dog training Maeshafn for 1 to 1 lessons and have just done their 3rd lesson. She is a very talented little puppy, already accomplished in the basic commands, sit, down, wait, recall and coming to heel. This week we were up in Maeshafn woods off lead giving Tuc a bit of freedom so we could practice recalls using whistle commands in the real world. She did very well and we are very pleased with her outstanding progress.
We have some 1 to 1 training spaces available on Tuesday and Wednesday, daytime and evening, £25 per session, pay as you train, no up-front charges. Our special offer to puppies 6 months and under is still running.

Just received this new review from Kim who came to us recently and has just completed an obedience course with us. She wrote:-
“Myself and Scooby absolutely loved our training sessions with Dave. Walking on a lead without pulling was our biggest issue, after having some useful tips our progress is well on the way. Dave really strips it back so each week adds on a little bit more without it being too overwhelming. So much better having 1:1 sessions as Scooby was initially a nightmare and I found it far too embarrassing being in a class full of other people and dogs, Dave never made me feel anything other than welcome and for the first time I felt confident teaching my dog. Thank you, Dave! “

Introducing Debbie and her Collie cross, Olwen. They came to us for 1 to 1 training sessions. Olwen soon mastered the basics sit, down, wait, come, heel commands and loose lead walking. They are now moving up a notch to commands on the whistle. In the exercise on the clip, Olwen recalls to heel on a whistle command. Next time we will increase the recall distance and start to introduce the down command on the whistle. The fact that they have achieved so much when they have had only three 1 to 1’s and Olwen is not yet 8 months old is testament to the work Debbie is putting in at home. If you would care to join us for 1 to 1 at £25 per session pay as you train lessons, please follow the link below:-

This is Luna. 10 weeks old, a collie/springer cross little lady with maybe a hint of Lab. We have been working with Luna for about a week with the owner putting in several 5 minute training sessions per day . When she started she knew nothing but crucially had no bad habbits to undo. So far we have been working on name recognition, sit and lie down. With those coming along nicely we are moving onto the "wait" skills.
Puppies are never too young or too old to start 1 to 1 training. We have available training slot available in the week wth no up front charges. For more information or to get in touch pleae visit https://www.facebook.com/dogtrainingmaeshafn

Introducing Wes and his 5 month old Cockapoo, Ed. In this the second session we were able to move to the next stage of the down to a down at distance looking in time to progress to remote down with whistle commands. Also this week Ed was introduced to the wait and heel commands as well as a little loose lead walking.
