We see you🩵
We know if it’s your first order or your 11th. We talk about your dog and what they’ve chosen. We try to recall where we might have met you, or take guesses on how you’ve found our business. Were you referred from an Ambassadog? Could we have met you at an event? Did you buy a treat bag at your local Groomer? We add extras into orders when we can, so that you can try something you might not usually go for.
We a so thankful for every single order.

2 years of Satch HQ 🩵

Two years ago, we opened the doors to our unit and welcomed customers to look 👀 inside for the very first time.

Before that, Satch’s Snacks had been run from home, then my garage and, for an entire year, one VERY small office room… watch to the end to see just how small 😂

When we moved into the unit, I never wanted to be a traditional pet shop. I wanted to do something a little differently.

We started with public Open Days alongside Solo Shopping appointments, giving customers the chance to bring their dogs into a retail environment without the crowds, noise and footfall that can make shopping difficult for some dogs. It worked so well around our busy event schedule but we wanted to be even more accessible.

Two years on, I feel like we’ve found the perfect balance for us.

And our little HQ has become so much more than somewhere to buy treats.

When you visit, you’re stepping into the place where your orders are packed and built every day. We’ve been able to welcome other pet professionals to use the unit as a base to showcase their services, and our quiet grounds have even become a space for scent work and Mantrailing sessions.

We might be tucked out of the way, but I’ve actually grown to love that about us. It’s allowed us to create a completely different shopping experience and offer our customers so many different ways to shop with us.

The growth we’ve seen over these last two years has been phenomenal, and that comes down to the incredibly loyal customers who come back time and time again, alongside every new customer who decides to take a chance on our little business.

From a garage, to that tiny office, to everything Satch HQ has become today… 🥹

Here’s to another year at Satch HQ, another year of doing things a little differently, and another year of growing. 🩵

In business, and especially at events, there are so many external factors completely out of our control.

Yesterday we reluctantly made the decision to leave an event early due to the unpredictability of the weather. It wasn’t an easy call, especially knowing it meant zero income for the day, but we knew it was the right one.

So, we changed the plan!

We refilled the shelves at the unit, had an unexpected Open Day and offered free postage all weekend.

What could have been a pretty rubbish situation turned into a reminder of just how amazing our little community is. You showed up, placed orders, sent lovely messages and completely lifted us up. 🥹 Thank you!

Today was a tough day, physically, financially and mentally. But safety will always come first.

Unfortunately, we made the decision to pack up and leave today’s event early after the wind got the better of our gazebo even with all our weights and pegs.

With our stall positioned directly behind the children’s area, I simply wasn’t prepared to take any chances for it to happen again. A gazebo can be replaced, somebody getting hurt can’t.

I’m absolutely gutted, especially after all the prep that goes into getting Satch’s to an event, and I’m so sorry to anyone who was planning to come and see us today.

Being self employed means all decisions are on you. There’s no other place to go if things go wrong, it’s on you and that feels heavy on days like today!

I can’t explain the mental crash that comes with making a decision like this. Knowing it’s potentially cost you in the thousands and dealing with the cash flow challenges that arise from taking zero sales on one of your biggest events of the year.

But it was the right decision for the business and for safety and we are so lucky that our stock has lots of life left in it. We just may be out of some favourites quicker than usual until we recoup some revenue to restock.

I bloody love my job and missing today’s event honestly makes me so sad, but I know it was the right thing to do.

Every days a school day!! 🤣
In all honestly, puzzles are a top notch treat. Less than 5% fat and full of protein! Bit of a smell when the dog gets chomping, but probably one of the most well loved chews out there.
It has got me thinking though, how many people do think have given their dog one without knowing?🤔 😅
And yes, we now offer bulk Pizzle pots! And can even arrange bigger quantities on request.

Solo shops are all about quality over quantity. They’re for you and your dog to feel comfortable to enjoy a ‘retail experience’ without the worry of bumping into anyone, meeting another dog or feeling rushed.
They’re available all throughout the week and weekends and available to dogs of any age, breed or size. There’s a £10 booking fee to secure a date, but that comes back in credit once you attend your date.
