🐴 Freckles is a lovely natured and relaxed mare, so when we noticed she wasn’t looking happy in lessons, we decided to investigate... Off she went to Towcester Equine Vets for a full check-up and then treatment and our team have been monitoring and rehabbing her in-hand since she came home.

🐎 Now she’s feeling better, we asked the saddle fitter to visit and double-check the fit of her saddle to make sure everything is as it should be, before she starts work again. Here’s a few photos featuring Freckles...

🐴 October is a busy month on the yard: The team have been clipping our ponies so they don't get too hot in lessons and also dusting off and checking all their winter rugs, ready for the chillier nights ahead - Here's Indie wearing his rug in the paddock yesterday and also ten days ago when he was out naked, as the weather was rather brighter and warmer!

🌍 It’s World Mental Health Day today – a day to talk, to listen, and to promote better mental health.

🐴 At RHEC, we support children and young people facing a range of mental health challenges, both through our learning programmes and as part of Ride High MK , and today is an excellent reminder about how we all need to prioritise good mental health in our lives and communities.

💬Talking openly with others can help us cope better with life’s challenges, so, on this World Mental Health Day, why not take the opportunity to share your own experiences and listen to someone else's story? Did you know that roughly 1 in 5 men and 1 in 3 women will experience clinical depression at some point? It’s more common than many of us realise, but people still avoid talking about it.

👂Conversations about mental health can make a difference. And they matter most when we listen to people’s experiences. Talking about mental health can feel daunting and we often worry about saying the wrong thing which can stop conversations before they begin. But we should nonetheless keep trying as these conversations are vital.

⛳ Fancy playing Woburn with Golfer and Content Creator Eloise Feely?

Eloise is kindly supporting Ride High MK's Charity Golf Day at Woburn Golf Club on Thursday 8 October by giving three golfers the chance to join her for a four-ball at her home club!

You can bid for one, two or all three places. Your bid is per place, and the three places will go to the highest bidders.

The experience will be auctioned live at the Ride High Golf Day, but you don’t need to be there to bid. Submit your bid online by 17:30 on Thursday 8 October, and your bid will be included in the live auction.

All funds raised will support the charity's work with vulnerable and disadvantaged children. So, get your golfing buddies together, decide how many places you’d like to bid for, and get your bid in!
