Saw this in a post this morning, and its something I believe 100%
There is a worrying trend, which is leading to many behavioural issues, that because i
Love my dog and he / she is my baby and i humanise her/ him that I love my dog more than you do, by treating them like dogs.
Hence anxiety/ fear and separation issues as a start .

Respect the fact they are dogs and not children

Loving a dog means loving what makes them a dog.
It isn't about treating them like a human baby.
It's about fulfilling their natural needs.
To follow.
To play.
To explore.
The most loving thing you can do for a pack animal
Is give them a calm leader to follow.

This is how quickly your life can change, with a dog that you are not in control of.

Do not ignore your dog’s behaviour, it can lead to incidents that you really don’t want

Nearly all dogs can be helped by the owners being given the correct information and training, I have raised 10 Rottweilers, all impeccably behaved around people dogs and other animals Thats not luck, its knowledge and training.

So its Grass seed time.

These types of problems to your dogs paws are easily avoided, all you need todo is check your dogs paws daily, especially after walks in areas containing grass seeds.

Sleeping dogs are cool dogs 😄
If your dog is old, a puppy or overweight it will suffer more in this heat. If you don’t keep coats clean and well brushed, your dog may suffer in this heat. If you stress and constantly fussing over them, they will also be stressed and hot , dog ownership isn’t rocket science, summer in in the diary ! same time every year . Preparation and common sense need to be deployed 🥰

Seeing a lot of posts asking how people are keeping their dogs cool. Keeping them stimulated all day with activities that humans enjoy in hot weather is not for me. They were out playing 5.30am to 9 am Breakfast and then i am leaving them alone( they will pop
Out for toilet/ if THEY want to . No panting no discomfort. They will be back out late this evening playing if THEY want to. They are all peaceful and sleeping. Let your dogs rest in a cool place it’s seriously the best way for a safe happy dog in these temperatures.
