Happy walking everyone π!
At Kora Boat we always support anyone who wants to groom their own dogs because it strengthens the bond between you, helps build trust and is great funπ.
We're always happy to answer any questions you may have about caring for your dog (or cat) π. When it comes to our pets, there is no such thing as a silly question π so don't hesitate to get in touch π!
Grooming is one of the most important parts of caring for our dogs because it influences their overall health, wellbeing and behaviour. Dog grooming helps them to look their best, smell their best and feel their best.
Grooming helps our dogs avoid discomfort, infections and parasites. When their coat is clean, not matted and comfortably trimmed, when their nails are short, when their ears, eyes and teeth are clean and healthy, then everything is paw- sible for our happy rascals.
A dog grooming session is a great opportunity to check your pet for any existing health problems. When found at an early stage, these problems can be treated right away, before they have a chance to become more serious.
Regular grooming is also an excellent opportunity to help our dogs develop a high level of social competence. Dogs that are comfortable with human touch are calmer, more confident and have higher ability to learn. When they are used to being handled in a correct way, with respect and understanding of their needs, then dogs become less fearful of that confusing, human world around them, and even visits to the vet can be less stressful β€οΈ.
Have a great week everyone π!
