A big misconception we hear quite often is the hot weather will really help my dogs movement 🐶

In many cases the hot weather can actually make stiffness, mobility and comfort worse and here’s some reasons why;

-Increased Swelling 🫧
High heat and humidity can cause fluid retention and tissue swelling, aggravating already inflamed joints.

- Choosing to lay down more often and for longer periods of time🐾
Not moving and laying on harder floor places pressure through joints which can worsen already painful joints.

- Dehydration⚡️
Hot weather leads to faster fluid loss, which can thicken synovial fluid (joint natural lubricant) making joints stiff and painful!
