🧡 Meet the team: Francesca 🧡

You’ll probably recognise the lovely Francesca from behind the reception desk. She moved to Pembrokeshire in 2021 and has been part of the Allpets Vet Care team ever since.

Francesca loves welcoming your wonderful pets into the practice🐾

Outside of work, she enjoys horse riding, travelling, live music, good food and hanging out with her cats. 🐈‍⬛

🐾🐕 Happy National Dog Day!!

We love all dogs...even if they don't always love a trip to the vet 🫣. We always try to win them round though with plenty of treats, patience and gentle handling.

Tell us what you love most about your four-legged friend...

They may be tiny, but grass seeds can cause big problems, especially for dogs who love exploring in long grass.

Check your four-legged friends after walks:
🐾 Between the toes
🐾 Inside the ears
🐾 Around the eyes
🐾 Under the armpits

Particularly if they have gorgeous floppy ears or lovely fluffy paws.

If there are any signs of shaking their head, limping, licking a paw repeatedly or swollen, sore areas, give us a call. Grass seeds can work their way into the skin and are much easier to remove early.

*Owner found*

We have unfortunately had a deceased cat handed into the practice found on Thornton Road, near Plas Peregrine.
They are a young adult neutered male, ginger and white, no microchip, no collar.
Please get in touch on 01646 663 883 or by email if you think they may be yours.

Meet Pete the vet, new joint owner of All Pets Vet Care, and proud sidekick to Lakeland Terrier, Otter! 🐾

When he’s not busy caring for pets at the practice, Pete loves exploring the beautiful Pembrokeshire coast with Otter by his side. He’s also a keen traveller, although with two young children and a veterinary practice to keep him busy, adventures abroad are a little less frequent these days!

Pete is looking forward to rekindling his rugby career, this time from the sidelines, by coaching his son’s local team. Watch out, The Minis & Juniors League! 🏉

Say hello to Pete when you’re next in, he’d love to meet you and your four-legged friend.

🐾 Ottie’s seaside holiday took an unexpected turn! 🎣

Ottie was loving all the new seaside smells on her Pembrokeshire holiday when the beautiful (to a Labrador, at least!) scent of rotten fish drifted over. Unable to contain herself, Ottie dived in nose-first before her owners could stop her!

Unfortunately for Ottie, hidden amongst the fish was a barbed fish hook, which pierced her top lip. The barb meant it was firmly lodged in place — ouch! 😬

Luckily, Ottie’s owners found our number and our team was able to get her seen straight away. After a dose of sedation, some local anaesthetic and a small procedure, the hook was safely removed. 🎣✅

An hour or so later, Ottie was back on her feet and walking out of the practice with her owners, ready to get back to enjoying the Pembrokeshire sunshine...hopefully with a little less enthusiasm for mystery fish! ☀️🐶

A good reminder for all our seaside explorers: keep an eye out for discarded fishing tackle, which can cause some very nasty injuries to curious pets. If your pet gets hold of fishing tackle, do not try to pull the hook out, instead leave the line attached and tie it loosely to their collar, then call your vet!

Paw-lease help us out! 🐾 If we’ve looked after your furry family member recently, would you mind leaving us a Google review?

It only takes a minute, but it makes a huge difference to our independent practice, and helps other pet owners find us too. Thank you so much for your support 🧡🧡

☀🌡Another warm spell is here, so a quick reminder about walking your four-legged friend.

If the pavement or sand is too hot for your hand after a few seconds, it’s too hot for paws 🐾. Shorter, cooler‑time walks are much safer, especially for puppies, older dogs and flat‑faced breeds.

If you are worried about your pet's health in the heat, give us a call! 🧡
