Farewell Holly

Sad news reaches me today that Holly has had to be put to sleep, I must have walked her for 8 or 9 years now, most difficult dog to photograph as she never left my heel and she loved to lay at the top of my armchair , kept my neck warm thru many a cold winter. Fabulous dog, she will be so missed.

Farewell Jake

Sad news this weekend as Jake has passed, he was a Monday institution here, been walking him every Monday for many years and some of you will have witnessed my efforts to keep up with him as he liked to walk 300yds ahead of me and lead the way.
So many fabulous memories of him but probably my fave was when we had unusual rainfall and the bluebell beck was much higher than usual, one dog with me had gone missing on a walk and Jake was fervently running between me and a spot on the beck, it was where the missing dog was stuck in the water, not a spot I expected, but Jake came to get me to help, and then tried to help by jumping in too to try and help the dog, I had to get on the deeper than usual beck and haul them both out.
A true legend Jake, going to miss you
