Assessment with 12 week old Doug 🧡

How adorable is this little fellow! Doug's owner wanted to get things right from the start and build confidence in the training early on.
Really nice foundations to work with here, im looking forward to watching Doug and his owner progress together👍

Real socialisation isn’t about letting dogs run up to everything and everyone.
It’s about building neutrality, clarity, and the ability to stay engaged with their handler in any environment.
Too often I’m working with dogs that have been pushed into situations they weren’t ready for, all in the name of “socialisation” and we end up undoing the fallout. Stress, anxiety, frustration, obsession, fear… all completely avoidable with the right guidance from the start.
This is what real progress looks like:
From overwhelmed and reactive → calm, engaged, and content🧡
