Summer 2026 ☀️

There’s been plenty I’ve loved this summer, horse shows, long evenings, meeting customers and my first stay away camp with Harry 🏕️

But there’s also been a few things I could have done without, namely all those pesky flies and some days being just too darn hot! 🥵

My summer has been good all things considered, busy days, horsey days, show days and lots of time outside.

🐴 You’ve just found a pellet bedding that loves water and absorbing wet!

🌲 Each bag is packed with pine goodness that just wants to absorb wet and as the pellets expand & grow they become a soft and durable bedding which will continue to absorb keeping the bed drier for longer and providing a supportive bed for your horse!

🪣 We suggest adding 5 litres of water per 18kg bag, leave 10 minutes and away you go!

👀 Are you setting up a pellet bed for the first time? 🌲🐴

It’s really is simpler than you may think - here’s how I do it…

1. Take the bags to the clean stable, 6-8, for a new bed.

2. Cut open the bags, add approx a small bucket of water to each bag.

3. Leave 10 mins as the pellets activate and fluff up ⬆️

4. Tip out the bags and spread to the depth you prefer.

5. Add small banks in if you want to and it’s done.✔️ Ready for use.

Pellets are a popular choice for horse owners who want a bed that’s highly absorbent, easy to muck out, low waste and doesn’t take over the whole yard.

I was sitting at my trade stand last week at Equifest when a horse owner came over to see me and said she’d been using Silva Crumb and loves it 🎉
