Exciting news about a new service we will be providing!!!!

🐴🚚 COMING SOON... 🚚🐴
One thing we hear time and time again is:
💬 "I'm fine driving the horsebox, I just don't feel very confident travelling my horse."

Whether you've recently bought a horsebox, haven't travelled much before, or simply want some extra support and reassurance, we're putting together something we think will really help.

Our new Horsebox Confidence & Support Sessions are designed to provide practical guidance and share our experience of transporting horses safely and confidently.
From loading your horse and carrying out safety checks, to planning journeys, travelling to events and dealing with situations that can arise when you're out and about, we'll be there to help build your confidence every step of the way.

⚠️ These are NOT driving lessons and are not intended to teach you how to drive.

Instead, they are friendly, practical sessions aimed at helping horse owners feel more comfortable and confident when travelling their horses.

☀️🐴 TRAVELLING HORSES IN HOT WEATHER 🐴☀️
With temperatures rising this week, keeping our horses cool and safe whilst travelling is SO important 🧡
A few simple tips can make all the difference:

💧 Make sure your horse is well hydrated before travelling and offer water regularly during longer journeys.
Adding electrolytes to feed or water before and after travel can really help too! Adding to feed is often the best option as many horses will eat before they choose to drink.

🌬️ Travel with plenty of ventilation and airflow — make sure windows and vents are open to keep air circulating through the lorry.

🗺️ Plan your journey carefully before setting off. Try to avoid busy motorways or routes where you could end up stuck in traffic for long periods, especially in hot weather. Always aim to take the shortest and smoothest route possible.

🕒 Avoid travelling during the hottest parts of the day where possible. Early mornings, late evenings, or overnight travel are much kinder in extreme heat.

🧊 Don’t over rug — lightweight travel gear is best. In many cases, travelling naked with brushing boots and overreach boots is far cooler and more comfortable than heavy travel boots.

⏸️ On longer journeys, stop regularly to check your horse. If they are sweating heavily, allow extra airflow by opening doors safely and cool them down with water and a sponge where needed.

🚿 Allow horses time to properly cool down after travelling before unloading, riding, or putting them away.
