🔒 Sit. Stay. Lock the gate.

The dogs have usually mastered the first two by the end of their visit... now it’s the humans’ turn. 😆

I’ve noticed a little confusion around how the entrance gate should be left when you finish your session, so I thought I’d put together a quick video showing the correct way to lock it.

If you’re ever unsure whether you’ve secured it properly, there’s a helpful sign directly to the right of the gate showing exactly what to do.

Taking a few extra seconds to check it’s locked helps me keep Paws in the Park safe, secure and ready for the next customer🐶🔒

Which is exactly why I’m so excited to have Fauna Focus joining us again at Paws in the Park for a morning of pet portrait sessions.

This is your chance to capture the face you look at every single day, their personality, their little quirks and that bond that means absolutely everything. You can even jump in and have a shot with your furry friend too.

Each £95 session includes 3 professionally edited photos, plus a gallery of 10 edited images to choose from, with the option to purchase more directly from Kieran.

First time visiting Paws in the Park? Here’s everything you need to know before you arrive!

✅ Gate codes are emailed 12 hours, 6 hours and 30 minutes before your session, so please check your junk folder if you can’t find them.

✅ Arrive at your booked start time. If you’re early, please wait at the far end of the car park. Entering before your session starts will incur a £10 surcharge per dog.

✅ Enjoy 2 acres of secure, exclusive-use space, just for you and your dog. You won’t meet any other dogs unless you’ve arranged for them to join you.

✅ Water, poo bags and bins are all provided.

✅ Pick up delicious treats from our shelter shop, in partnership with Pips Pet Treats.

✅ Fancy a coffee? Order from The Larder and have it delivered straight to the field.

🐾 Now all that’s left to do is relax and let your dog run, play and enjoy their freedom!

Our standard booking covers 1-3 dogs for £12, so whether they’re all yours or your friend is bringing their dog along for a play date, you’re covered.

Got a bigger gang? We also have a 4-6 dog option for £14. Just make sure you select the correct booking for the total number of dogs coming.

Either way, you’ll have exclusive use of the secure field for the full 50 minutes… plenty of room for everyone to run, sniff, explore and have fun together! 🐾

Meet the face behind Train with Jayne 🐶

If you’ve been following Paws in the Park for a while, you may recognise Jayne from previous reels or the classes she runs here in the field at the weekend, but I thought it was time you got to know a little more about the person behind them!

Jayne has been a dog trainer for three and a half years and has an incredible amount of training and qualifications behind her. She’s qualified with the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers and The Dog Training College, as well as being a scent work instructor, gundog instructor and puppy specialist.

And the learning doesn’t stop there! Jayne completes at least 20 hours of training every year to keep her knowledge up to date, as well as regularly attending in-person training with her own dogs so she can continue learning and pass that knowledge on to her clients.

I love having Jayne here at Paws in the Park and I’m delighted to give you the chance to learn a little more about her business,

Secure dog fields are brilliant for reactive or nervous dogs, but they’re definitely not JUST for them!

Maybe you’ve got a puppy learning recall, a dog with selective hearing the second they’re off lead 😂, an older dog who likes to potter at their own pace, or simply a dog who LOVES the freedom to run.
