💚🐾This week’s Thankful Thursday:

“Borders Pet Crematorium is a comforting & peaceful place to say goodbye to your beloved pet. Set amongst the countryside & ran by a small team who offer compassion, dignity & understanding during the difficult time of pet loss. I have used their services twice now (October 2023 & October 2026) for both my bull terriers. I was extremely grateful for the option of a same day individual cremation. My dogs were family members. I personally could not have left their bodies with the vet. To be bagged & transported with multiple animals as clinical waste to an industrial cremation centre..... My dogs did not deserve that ending. On both occasions I was greeted by Jed who was polite, kind & noted down my requests. There was no pressure to purchase memorials, ashes jewellery, paw print casting etc. Both dogs had pine wood caskets with their names engraved. For Ruby I got a fur clipping in 2023. Ruby's fur clipping was then cremated with Bailey. I wanted a piece of her to go with him. I opted for a paw print casting for Bailey. The opportunity to have your dog placed in a wicker basket with blankets was comforting. Spending quiet time with them before your journey home. The staff are respectful & accommodating. When you arrive with your pet the gates of the premises are closed during that time as a mark of respect & to ensure no disruptions occur during this sensitive time. I cannot thank Borders Pet Crematorium enough for their level of service. Knowing my dogs were handled with care & dignity really helps me find peace during the grieving process. You all do a wonderful job given the nature of the business. It must be difficult & sad job at times but you obviously do it for the love of animals. Thank you kindly. 🐶🐶🐾🐾🌈🌈🕊️🕊️”

“100% Respectful professional sympathetic

I lost my baby boy Bobby-Blue after 12 years of companionship.
Borders Pet Crematorium were such a comfort at such a difficult time for me.
The process was straightforward & easy to navigate whilst under duress.
I mostly spoke with Jed who was just so lovely & took time with me.
Mark came on the day to collect Bobby & he was just so respectful, personal & having only experienced this with humans previously I felt the same courtesy was offered.
Our pets are members of our family & sometimes the only family we know so to be treated the same is paramount to feeling the way we do about them.
Thank you so much.

“I can't recommend Borders Pet Crematorium highly enough. The service they provide at the end of life of your pet is private, thoughtful and respectful. I had to make the hardest desicion on Christmas Eve when Maximus' degenerative condition deteriorated. Knowing he was terrified of the Vetinary surgery, taking him there was completely out of the question and the option of having the Vet making a home visit also didn't feel right. After my first phone call with Mark, I knew I was making the right choice of where to take Max on his final journey. The facilities are perfect, almost like visiting someone's front room, Maximus wasn't stressed in the slightest. He ate some biscuits and then drifted off to sleep on a sheepskin rug.

Thanks to Mark, Anne and their Vet. You made one of the hardest days of my life a lot more bearable. Dave.”

“Borders Pet Crematorium offer a very personalised and private service. Our cat had to be put to sleep. This was traumatic in itself but the fact that he was my mother’s cat. She had died suddenly in 2021 and he became our cat. The fact that he was my last connection to my her made it even more painful.
On calling the crematorium I was able to get a private appointment at a time that suited me and quickly. This was perfect as there were no interruptions. I was able to choose to have his paw prints preserved and which type of urn I preferred. The whole process was very professional like you would expect. The cost was really affordable too.
I now have him sitting next to my mother’s ashes and they are finally together again.
I highly recommend Borders Pet Crematorium and would not hesitate to use them again. Thank you for a first class professional service.”

“Today we experienced the most caring, comforting and professional service from Mark at Borders Pet Crematorium.
Mark went above and beyond to provide a perfect final farewell for our beloved dog of a lifetime ‘Wolfie.’
We contacted Mark on Easter Sunday (a public bank holiday). He accommodated us without hesitation in every possible way. Although Mark said that he wished he could wave a magic-wand for Wolfie, for us he did just that. Providing an exceptional and personal final journey.
First class service from start to finish. We will be forever grateful to Mark.

Today, the 28th of August, is Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day🌈🕊️

A day dedicated to remembering the beloved pet companions we have lost, but who will forever remain in our hearts🤍🪽

To mark this special day, we wanted to share this touching poem with you all.

We would also love to invite you to share a photo of your beloved pets who have crossed the Rainbow Bridge, so that together we can see all the wonderful friends our pets have made since leaving us here on Earth❤️‍🩹🌈
