I am a dog trainer covering Melksham and surrounding areas. I have conditional membership with PACT (https://www.pact-dogs.com), this means you can be assured that I have knowledge of not just training dogs but also on how to explain this to owners and help the bond between you. Having spent 9 years working in rescue I have experience with a wide range of breeds and temperaments and the ability to adapt my plans to suit the dog. At all times I look to train in a way which is enjoyable for all involved.
I only use force free, positive methods in my training as these produce lasting results and a stronger bond between dog and owner. Every dog and person is different and learns at different paces and I believe it is important to respect this. I aim to explain techniques clearly to clients and make use of demonstrations and videos to enable this.
Continued learning is important for all dog trainers and I regularly attend events in order to improve. I have recently completed a FdSc in Applied Canine Behaviour and Training and am now studying for a Bsc in Canine Behaviour and Management.
