What if everything you thought you knew about odour was only part of the picture?

Following the Exploring Odour Seminars delivered alongside Dr Lauryn DeGreef, we’re taking the conversation beyond theory and into application.

Over the coming months, Endeavour Canine will be releasing a limited series of practical seminars focused on understanding, interpreting and working with odour in real-world environments, with science backed knowledge.
Designed for sport handlers, trainers and operational teams, these sessions will challenge assumptions, encourage discussion and provide practical insights you can immediately take away and apply.

This week Lauryn DeGreeff and I, gave our exploring odour seminar here in Wales.
We looked at the theory of odour movement, chemistry and contamination and storage. We looked at how the environment and airflow affects how our dogs work an area using practical examples and also dogs.
We saw how much better dogs are than us at detecting their odours even in really strong mixtures!
With a really nice mix of theory, practical involvement and working dogs, we had some fantastic discussions and examples around how are dogs and training can vary so much! Looking forward to presenting this again soon!

Working on focussed sniffing today! Who needs bricks when you have plastic tables with holes in! Rogues first day on tiny odour, no music needed as the sniffing is heaven 🎶 🖤🧡

This week my favourite Jersey Customs team are here in wales for 4 days of training, Stinger has made sure that on top of work, he’s also thoroughly topped up on cuddles! Definitely getting my springer fix this week! 🐶
