🚨🧱 PENZANCE, WE’VE FOUND SOMETHING THAT COULD RUIN YOUR SOCIAL LIFE… ONE BRICK AT A TIME! 🧱🚨
And no, for once we’re not talking about the roadworks. 😂
There’s a new business getting ready to launch in Penzance called BLOCK AROUND THE CLOCK, and quite frankly, we reckon someone’s onto a bloody brilliant idea here.
You know LEGO? That stuff you used to play with as a kid before growing up, getting a mortgage, developing back problems and realising that being an adult is massively overrated?
Well, it’s back. Although, let’s face it, for some of us it never really went away. 😂
And this lot have come up with something rather clever.
YOU CAN RENT LEGO SETS. 🤯
Yep. RENT THEM.
Not buy them. Not remortgage your house to afford the Millennium Falcon. Not explain to your other half why you’ve just spent £400 on a plastic castle when the washing machine sounds like a cement mixer.
You simply rent a set, take it home, build it, admire your magnificent creation, then return it when you’re finished.
RENT. BUILD. RETURN. REPEAT. 🔄
It’s basically Blockbuster Video, but instead of returning a VHS of Titanic, you’re returning 4,000 tiny bits of plastic that have consumed your entire weekend. 😂
And they’ve already got 90 SETS in their collection!
We’re talking some serious stuff here…
🏠 The Home Alone house, so you can recreate Kevin McCallister’s finest moments without actually setting fire to the stairs.
🏴☠️ Pirates of the Caribbean’s Black Pearl, for anyone who’s ever fancied being Captain Jack Sparrow without the rum problem.
🧝 Rivendell from Lord of the Rings. One for those who fancy spending an entire weekend in Middle-earth without leaving their living room.
🚀 The USS Enterprise, because apparently exploring strange new worlds is now possible from your kitchen table.
🏎️ Supercars, because it’s probably the closest most of us are getting to owning a Lamborghini.
And they’ve got even bigger sets on the way, including Avengers Tower and the absolutely enormous Sagrada Família!
Now here’s where it gets interesting…
💰 RENTALS START FROM JUST £4.99 A WEEK!
There are different rental tiers depending on the size and complexity of the set, going right up to £49.99 a week for the absolute monsters.
And with some of the bigger sets, the longer you rent them, the cheaper the weekly rate becomes.
Which is handy, because if you’re anything like us, you’ll spend the first three evenings sorting the pieces into little piles before the cat launches itself across the table and sends three hours of progress into another postcode. 🐈💨
They’re planning to launch in EARLY NOVEMBER, with online booking and local click-and-collect right here in Penzance.
And we absolutely love seeing someone bringing a different kind of business to our little corner of Cornwall.
Because not every new business needs to be another coffee shop, barbers or somewhere selling a £14 sandwich with a fancy name. 😂
Sometimes it’s just someone with a good idea, a mountain of LEGO and the determination to turn it into something special.
👏 SO HERE’S WHERE YOU LOT COME IN…
At the time of writing, Block Around The Clock have got just 12 FOLLOWERS.
TWELVE!
We’ve seen more people queuing for a reduced sausage roll in Morrisons.
So let’s give this new Penzance business a proper welcome.
👉 Head over to Block Around The Clock on Facebook.
👉 Give their page a FOLLOW.
👉 Tag that mate who’s 47 years old, owns 30 LEGO sets and still tells everyone they’re ‘for the kids’.
👉 And share this post so a few more people hear about them before they launch!

And we’ve got one very important question…
If you could rent ANY LEGO set in the world, what would you build? 🧱👇
We’re just wondering whether there’s a set that comes with instructions for fixing Penzance’s roads. Although we suspect that one might be missing a few pieces. 😂
Good luck with the launch, Block Around The Clock. From all of us here at Men’s Pants Bants, we wish you every success.
COME ON PENZANCE. LET’S GET BEHIND ANOTHER LOCAL BUSINESS! ❤️
