Please be kind to your dog groomer during the heatwave ☀️

I am so fortunate to have incredible clients who have completely understood my need to reschedule some appointments this week due to the heatwave. But as I've been browsing on social media, that's not been the case with every dog groomer in the UK. Groomers have been yelled at, guilt tripped and people have even refused to be rescheduled and have expected to still be seen.

I'd like to remind every pet owner that us dog groomers have duty of care over our dog clients. If we have made the decision to reschedule your appointment for safety, that's precisely why we've done it. It's not so we can just go sit on the beach with a Pimms in our hand, it's to protect your dog (and ourselves) from heat stroke! Not all of us have the luxury of aircon, and with the dryers running all day IT GETS HOT!

And I can promise you, yelling at a dog groomer when they can't fit your dog in the same day isn't going to make them help you any more. Keeping your dog on a regular schedule all year round prevents them getting really overgrown, which in turn will help when the weather gets as hot as it has been this week. ☀️
