Hi everyone 🤎
I wanted to say a few words following this afternoon’s livestream in Belper Town.
Firstly, thank you to everyone who joined me and especially those who stayed until the end and checked in on me afterwards.
I went live with the simple intention of sharing some of the good things about my town and spending time with you all. Unfortunately, throughout the stream I was verbally confronted by different groups of men. Many of you witnessed this unfold in real time.
I won’t lie, it had a bigger impact on me than I expected. As many of you saw, I ended up having a panic attack on live. That’s not something I would ever choose to share publicly, but it happened, and thousands of people witnessed it.
What upset me most wasn’t what was said, but the fact that a space that is usually filled with kindness, laughter and support suddenly felt very different.
I know many of you come to my lives because they feel safe, calming and familiar. Some of you are dealing with illness, recovery, anxiety, loneliness or difficult times of your own, and I’m sorry that today’s stream became something none of us expected.
I want to thank every single person who sent messages of support, checked I was okay, and reminded me why I love this community so much. Your kindness carried me through today.
I am okay, just a little shaken, and I’ll be back doing what I always do. One difficult afternoon won’t change who I am or what we’ve built together.
Thank you for always having my back.
