A canine centred approach

Through positive reinforcement and activity, Pooches can provide a walk that incorporates a play aspect into a truly canine lead service. We assist any training in place and assist you maintain your dogs skills. On or off lead walking at owners request

We provide free daily up dates and free T.L.C to ensure your dog receives a high quality service that caters to their needs, health and well being. Evidence of insurance, full police enhanced DBS, references of training in the field prior to becoming self employed available. Evidence of attendance and passes at two separate veterinary nurse lead canine first aid course can be seen at assessment. As a former Occupational Therapist in Mental Health Acute Psychiatry and working in a medium secure units. I have in depth knowledge of group dynamics which can be applied to the correct course of dog socialisation. I also have degree level knowledge of anatomy & physiology and the impact of play/activities on the musculoskeletal system and a sound understanding of physical dysfunction. This includes but is not limited to maintaining healthy bones, development of limbs and appropriate play activities. How to grade play activities and watch for early signs impairment including unusual gait. I have the ability to appropriately socialise dogs into groups they will develop sound skills from. I can identify the signs of stress, distress or displeasure in a social group. Most importantly I know how to quickly remedy distress, stress or displeasure in a group to promote a positive experience in my care. Groups are tailored and can be amended to ensure safety and wellbeing is paramount to play.

All walks are shore , woodland and field based unless otherwise requested

You were gobby, a torment and one hell of a laugh every time you played out with your friends.
Everyone is broken by your sudden passing, your brother is lost, your mam is beyond herself so much I struggle to look her in the eye without welling up.
You were a bloody awesome girl and you melted my heart.
Everyone says we have the best job and its true until you leave us, that's when we struggle with going on.
It never gets any easier to loose someone you love that has only ever given you all their heart unconditionally and it never ever will.
We made soon excellent memories together and you had my life 🤣 I'll make sure loki isn't lonely for you

There's was no history given about Ben from the rescue either so everything was on a test base scenario.

This is Ben now with one of my cats, the only risk here is that Ben sat down on EL"s leg and he looks a bit miffed 🤣

He's going deaf now but other than that he's fit as a fiddle at his Old Age Pooch stage and he's been such a pleasure to have by my side all these years 🥺

Millie has been diagnosed with glaucoma , she's only 4 years old and has had to have her eye removed 😭

We were all worried about her quality of life and the ability to come out to play with her friends.

This is Millie after she had time to rest, she has baffled us all with her confidence and determination to still play out with the gang.

We think that she might have lost the use of that eye prior to her diagnosis and removal because she is coping extremely well 🥰🥰

Peggy is the newest puppy to join the pooches pack
She's Ethel Barnes's (RIP angel) Little sister 🥰

She was a bit nervous at first but soon gained confidence amongst the other pups

She hasn't been on a walk but done some basic introductions to the current pack members

Isn't she a beauty 😍
