just to update you on the week to week bookings!
I originally planned to do two morning grooms and go out walking on the afternoon but to keep up with demand (despite taking on no new clients) I regularly do at least four grooms per day - but obviously still have to fit in all of my walking and a home life which includes the horse.
I also work seven days a week but my father, in Essex is not getting any younger and recently went into a care home so I go down for the weekend every month to see him which now means I only work three out of four weekends

This is not a sympathy post as I love what I do but I also feel rubbish when I can’t fit people in when they need.

several times recently i have sent out the available dates or times but immediately those dates get booked up and when the client responds a few days later those dates have gone - if you have limited availability, or a date the groom must be done by, or an urgent need i request that you ask as early as you can and respond to my message as soon as possible as i always want to give clients what they ask but that means i get less and less family time as i try to please everyone ❤️❤️

No more appointments available till week of 15th xx
Also sadly no availability at present for new clients- i have taken on a few recently due to connections or circumstances but I think i am about maxed out!
I always make exceptions for emergency situations! 🥰🥰😘😘

i do my best to answer messages and put in bookings but sometimes i do so many ‘extra’ appointments i can start at 8am and work right through till 9pm with loud equipment and so focussed on the dog i am with that i don’t notice or have time to see a message has come through!
second to that i often end up with several requests for appointments all at once but a short window to organise the appointments so have to offer all the dates coming up but will always be a first to respond gets the date and time of their choice.

advice re bookings ❤️❤️

i am generally booked up two weeks ahead - if dogs are knotted or there is any urgency i sometimes book extra appointments at 8am or after 5.30pm but obviously that impacts the rest of my day so i can only do a couple of extra appointments each week - my Dad in Essex requires more visits than previously due to his health so that also writes off some weekends!

I regularly get asked for an appointment in the next couple of days and i so want to say yes but that does create extra stress where i want to help and sometimes i just can’t which saddens me!

I will always try so worth an ask … but ideally two weeks notice works best xx 😘

so what i absolutely LOVE about my doggy clients is they don’t always love their visit (!) but they all get better and better with me - and the really angry ones get sweeter and sweeter as we reach a mutual agreement to get this done 🤣🥰
I am so proud of every dog!!

we have just had a lovely short break in the lakes

Easter always gets particularly busy I think because the coats start to change so sadly I am still having to turn down any new client requests 🥰🥰

I am now taking bookings from the 18th April onwards xx
