Puppy intros and why they are so important
Puppies aren’t born knowing how to be groomed and it is a lot to ask of a dog to accept being groomed for a few hours if they’ve never even set paw in a grooming salon
We start everything slowly during intro sessions and stick to only one hour
This gives the puppy chance to experience all the smells, sensations and sounds in the salon without overwhelming them
We recommend bringing your puppy in once a month for around 4-6 months for intro sessions and when they are ready for their first full groom they should hopefully take it all in their stride and enjoy it
This is such an important part of their grooming journey and it also gives us chance to form a bond with them which makes such a difference when grooming them
