CONGRATULATIONS ! ! ! to the six dogs and handlers who have just started 2020 in fine style - passing their Kennel Club Good Citizen GOLD award today with flying HARLEQUIN colours !

A GIANT thank you to our examiner Val Earp who, as always, ensured everyone felt at ease, even though, understandably, some were feeling quite nervous . . .(and somehow) made sure we completed the road exercise without getting wet ! All your hard work paid off today folks - "WELL DONE" ! ! !

Well . . . . WE DID IT ! ! Our HARLEQUIN show went ahead today despite the flippin weather ! We are sooooo lucky to have our agility home with such fantastic facilities here at Tominsons Kennels, and the indoor facilities ensured "the show WOULD go on" !
A GIANT "Thank you" to all that helped set up yesterday, and to all who gave their time today - there are too many to mention as so many HARLEQUINS "mucked in" to "make it happen" !
What I love best with this little show of ours, is the support that is given from one handler to another when walking a tricky part in a course. I see handlers huddled in a group wondering "what to do best at this point" ? . . . and then see everyone helping each other. Yep, each of you want to win, but also, each of you want your pals to do well too.
Standing back and watching from the sidelines, I know, this will put a big smile across Blake's face. x x x

I just LOVE a happy ending ! ALL puppies have just passed with flying colours, their Kennel Club Good Citizen Puppy Assessment, and then . . . the next test tonight consisted of seven dogs and handlers taking their Silver Award. Despite the awful weather, all seven passed easily ! A GIANT "Thank you" to our examiner, Valerie Earp for coming out ( and getting rather wet) ! for us all. Everyone has worked hard to achieve this award . . . and all should be very proud - (and now zonked out and snoring contentedly) . . . and the dogs are happy too ! lol Blake x x x

Lets get training your dog in 2019 . . .to be a "Good Citizen" ! Harlequin will be holding some new Kennel Club courses in January so give me a call (07826 232 051) if you are interested. Puppy: Monday Jan 7th at 6.00 p.m. Bronze: Jan 7th at 7.00 p.m. Tuesday January 8th we will be combining a Silver/Gold class at 6.00 p.m. Happy New Year to you all ! Jill x x x

They all did it ! ! Five dogs and handlers took their K.C Good Citizen SILVER test this morning under the watchful eye of our examiner, Valerie Earp . . . and all passed with flying "HARLEQUIN" colours ! ! A "Giant" thank you to Val, (who even held back the rain until we had all completed the road walk) lol ! CONGRATULATIONS to you all - and your fabulous dogs - they really are - your best pals ! What a "Fan Bloody Tastic" time we have all had at Harlequin today ! Lots of fun, lots of laughs, and lots of amazing cakes ( thanks to Deb) and a Tombola ! Prizes donated from lovely folk, Martin and Deb for your generous donation, and oh my ! that "agility cake" for the raffle was a work of art ! Liz our secretary (there would never be a training event if it wasn't for her keeping us all organised) ! Sandra, (always so lovely to catch up with you) judging her challenging agility courses. Phil and Lisa for sorting out our beautiful rosettes, Gray, Maureen and Malcolm for helping set up, and everyone for taking down today . . . . and a GIANT "Thank You" to all who helped keep Ace "entertained" lol ! And . . . . the biggest "Thank You" - is to you HARLEQUINS, who together, have raised £1000 for the Animal Health Trust ! ! ! My handsome boy . . . who sits there watching you all . . . "Thank you Blake", for doing what you always do . . . you give us all a bit of sunshine, and a smile to take away x x x

Well . . . Harlequins have done it again ! ! Six wonderful dogs (accompanied by six nervous handlers) passed their final K.C. Good Citizen Award . . . the GOLD ! ! So, so proud of you all for all the time and effort that has been put in, away from our usual Tuesday class - it is that important time and effort (just like ANY dog activity) that has seen ALL of you take home your Gold Award tonight - "CONGRATULATIONS" ! A Giant "Thank You" to Val, our examiner, for putting everyone at ease right from the first task - sooo relieved most of the test was undertaken outside, as with the hot weather we have been having lately . . . that's where we have done all our training ! What a fab night for everyone ! Blake x x x

What a great night for Harlequin K.C Silver and Gold contenders - all who took their appropriate tests passed with flying colours ! A big "Thank You" to Val for testing you all tonight - it was a lovely evening and we completed the majority of each test outside. Everyone hopes Jimmy feels better soon, and Sally quite rightly, withdrew him from completing the test as he was clearly agitated with a tummy upset (such a shame as he had done a perfect pre test the evening before) . . . and would have easily passed tonight. Congratulations to you all, for working through your weak areas to ensure a pass is what you wanted . . . and you all achieved that tonight ! Blake x x x
