We’ve had a very busy week and would like to thank everyone for their patience.

We’d also like to thank our wonderful clients who have sent us some amazing gifts and sweet treats (some didn’t make a photo before they were opened 🫣) we are always so grateful when someone has taken the time to write a card or drop a gift off 🥰

The sweets and biscuits have definitely fuelled us this week!

Thank you from all of us at Cedars Vets 🐾

Ever wondered what really happens when we take your dog in to make them sick?

First they are injected with medication that induces vomiting, then they are assigned a nurse to monitor their vomiting.

Our nurses are there to catch the sick, wipe mouths, hold ears out the way, give back/tummy rubs and provide words of encouragement. They also have to check the sick to ensure the offending item(s) has been removed.

This lovely boy was in recently because he just couldn’t resist the chocolate cupcakes 🫣

𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐒𝐒 𝐒𝐄𝐄𝐃𝐒 𝗼𝐫 𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐒𝐒 𝐀𝐖𝐍𝐒

Over the last 2 weeks we have removed these pesky things from eyes, ears and paws! Some dogs have even had multiple in one ear making them very sore 😔

🌾 Grass seeds, most commonly found in ears and paws especially in pets with long fur after being walked in areas with long grass. They sometimes go into eyes or up noses.

Signs of a grass seed issue can vary depending on the affected area, but may include excessive licking/chewing or scratching of the area, swelling, limping, head shaking, sudden or violent consistent sneezing.

Check your pet each time they come indoors and remove any seeds that you can see that have not yet pierced the skin.

☎️ If you are concerned your pet may have a grass seed stuck call us and book an appointment.
