The success of the Future for Hunting Festival of Hounds depends on all of us so please help to make sure everyone knows about it.

More than 91,000 people stood up for trail hunting by responding to the government's consultation. Now we need to turn that support into a visible show of unity. The Festival of Hounds, being run alongside the 138thPeterborough Royal Foxhound Show, is the next major moment for the hunting community to come together and demonstrate the strength of feeling behind the future of hunting.

Please help spread the word by sharing the event with your members, supporters, friends and family. Forward this email, post it in WhatsApp groups, circulate it through email lists, share it on social media and encourage others to do the same. Every message helps us reach more people and build the biggest possible turnout.

Please make the Festival of Hounds a priority in your communications over the coming weeks. Mention it at meetings, include it in newsletters and encourage members to travel together. Group booking discounts are available for coach and minibus bookings, making it even easier to attend as a hunt, branch or group of friends. BHSA Supporters' Club members and Countryside Alliance members can also take advantage of discounted advance ticket prices.

Future for Hunting

Dear All,

As you are aware, the Government’s consultation on the proposed Trail Hunting Ban remains open until *18 June, leaving just three days to respond.*

The importance of submitting a response cannot be overstated. We trust that every member and supporter has already responded, or will do so before the deadline, and we encourage every individual within a household to submit their own response.

In addition to personal submissions, it has recently been highlighted that responses from businesses are particularly important at this stage. Business responses will carry significant weight in demonstrating the wider economic impact of any ban and may influence the process following the consultation’s closure.

If you operate a business of any kind that is connected, directly or indirectly, to trail hunting, please submit a response. This includes, but is not limited to:

* Farming enterprises relying on fallen stock collection
* Vehicle maintenance and mechanical services
* Feed, hay and straw merchants
* Livery yards and equestrian businesses
* Pubs, hospitality providers and local suppliers
* Any other business that benefits from, supports, or provides services to the hunting community

No business is too large or too small to make a difference.

Please also encourage any businesses you support during the hunting season to respond. There are countless examples. Take a moment to explain the importance of this consultation to your suppliers, contractors and service providers. Completing a response takes only a few minutes, but every submission matters.

The next few days are critical. The number and breadth of responses received could will a significant impact on both the outcome of the consultation and the time taken to process responses thereafter. These factors may prove pivotal.
