💜 This week we were delighted to welcome the Broughton Astley Scouts Cubs to our Kibworth practice!

The Cubs spent the evening learning all about animal care and life inside a veterinary practice.

➡️ They enjoyed a tour of the building

➡️ Learned why we have separate cat and dog wards and treatment areas

➡️ Discovered how we care for sick and injured pets

➡️ Got hands-on with some veterinary equipment

➡️ Became veterinary detectives, trying to work out why our "patients" were poorly

The children asked some fantastic questions, showed great enthusiasm throughout the visit, and were an absolute pleasure to host.

A huge thank you to Vet Lucy and Head Nurse Kathleen for leading the session and helping to inspire the next generation of animal lovers. 🩺💜

We loved sharing a little of what we do, and who knows, perhaps we met a few future vets and veterinary nurses!

⭐ A Big Thank You to Our Wonderful Clients!

We were delighted to receive these Petplan UK Veterinary Awards nomination certificates in the post.

Normally, we let our clients know when the nominations open. However, this year the nominations somehow managed to pass us by completely... A certain Social Media Co-ordinator may have dropped the ball on this one! 🫣💜

Despite that, our amazing clients still found a way to nominate us, and for that we are incredibly grateful.

💜 Amber is making the most of treat time during her acupuncture appointment!

Amber has arthritis and receives acupuncture as part of her pain management plan.

💜 One of the questions we are most often asked about acupuncture is:

"Do the needles hurt?"

As Dora demonstrates, most pets don't even seem to notice them!

Vet Lucy uses a guide tube to gently place the extremely fine acupuncture needles. Many pets become so relaxed during treatment that they simply lie down and enjoy the attention.

Acupuncture can be used alongside conventional veterinary medicine to help manage a range of conditions, particularly chronic pain, arthritis, spinal problems and mobility issues.
