Pudding visited us for his castration procedure and was an absolute superstar from start to finish. 💙

He is now back home recovering comfortably, with plenty of rest, cuddles, and strict instructions to take it easy over the next few days. 😴

Gordon popped in for his check-up today, and he couldn’t have been more relaxed. In fact, he was so comfortable on the examination table that he was practically drifting off to sleep! 😴

We love seeing patients who feel calm and at ease during their visits, and Gordon was the perfect example.

EXCITING JOB OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking an experienced RVN to join our team of five vets, four RVNs and a VCA in our modern, purpose-built veterinary practice in the centre of Market Harborough.
Your role will be integral to the smooth-running of our clinical team. You will be responsible for providing the highest standard of nursing care to our patients and delivering excellent client experience.
You must possess excellent communication skills and clinical skills, pay attention to detail and be well-organised.
Working hours are 7.5 hours per day between 08:30-19:00 (37.5 hours/week) with 1:5 Saturday mornings.

Your role will include:
— Supporting vets in consultations, diagnostics and surgery
— Running nurse clinics and promoting preventive healthcare
— Delivering inpatient care and monitoring anaesthesia
— Undertaking laboratory work, radiography and theatre duties
— Supporting and mentoring student nurses (where applicable)
— Providing a warm, professional experience for every client and patient

We offer:

Today we had the pleasure of meeting Bella and Maple, two adorable Cocker Spaniel puppies who completely stole our hearts! 🐶🐶

From puppy kisses to wagging tails, these sweet girls brought plenty of smiles to the clinic during their visit. Regular puppy health checks are an important part of helping young pets grow into happy, healthy adults, and Bella and Maple were stars every step of the way. ⭐

We can’t wait to watch these beautiful sisters grow and thrive! 💖

At just 5 months old, this curious pup came to see us after helping himself to a bluebell bulb in the garden 🌱🐶

While bluebells may look pretty, their bulbs are toxic to dogs. Thankfully, Moss’s owners acted quickly and brought him straight in for treatment. 💙

A gentle reminder to keep an eye on curious noses in the garden this spring and summer — many plants and bulbs can be harmful to pets if eaten. If you think your pet has eaten something they shouldn’t, contact your vet as soon as possible.

🌡️ HOT WEATHER WARNING FOR PET OWNERS 🐾

☀️ Please help keep your pets safe:
🚫 Never leave pets in cars — even for a few minutes
💧 Ensure constant access to fresh, cool water
🏠 Keep pets indoors or in shaded areas during peak heat
🐾 Check pavements with your hand before walks — if it’s too hot for you, it’s too hot for them
❄️ Use cooling mats, damp towels, or frozen treats to help regulate temperature

⚠️ Signs of heatstroke include:
• Excessive panting
• Drooling
• Weakness or collapse
• Vomiting or diarrhoea
• Bright red gums
• Confusion or seizures

Heatstroke is a veterinary emergency. If you are concerned, contact 01858465668 immediately
