Whether you are teaching Kinetic exercises for rehabilitation, mobility support, fitness and conditioning, or simply as a fun activity, communication is key ... as we start to teach an exercise to our dogs they generally have no idea what it is we want them to do, so firstly we need to let them know when they have got it right - (or even close to right!) - it can often be a quick moment in time, so we need to be able to 'mark' it almost immediately - it can take too long to say 'what a good dog', then try find a treat, so teaching a single clear word to signify success works so much better! ... Once they have confidence in learning this way you will be amazed at what they are able to do :)

Pawsome work Dexter … what a superstar 🤩🐾
During his Rehabilitation and Wellbeing Appointment Dexter has been practicing ‘Front Feet Switch and Awareness’ … not only does this exercise promote front limb awareness, it also engages important stabiliser muscle groups through his core and hind limbs, whilst recruiting abductor and adductor muscles in his fore limbs (the ones that support the legs in moving in and out sideways) … as well as improving his balance, co-ordination, communication skills, connection and confidence 🐾…. Great job Dexter 👏👏😍
