HI IM NALA🦁🐶

Not too long ago, the thought of being left somewhere without my family was really scary😱. I’d never been away from them before, so when I first came to Lynne’s Woof Pack, I wasn’t quite sure what was happening😕. I stayed close, watched everything from a distance, and kept my feelings to myself❤️‍🩹.
But nobody rushed me🥹
Lynne and the team let me go at my own pace. They showed me kindness, patience, and helped me realise that I was safe☺️. Little by little, my confidence started to grow💪🏻
Before long, I found some lovely doggy friends to play with🤪. I discovered how much fun daycare could be😁, and boarding started to feel like a second home instead of somewhere to worry about🥰.
Now you’ll often find me zooming around the fields, playing games with the other dogs😝, having cuddles with the humans, and, best of all… I’ve even learned to enjoy being off lead🤩! I never thought I’d be brave enough for that, but now I love exploring🦸🏽‍♀️, knowing I can always come back to the people who helped me believe in myself💭.
I’m still the same little rescue dog, but now I’m a much happier, more confident version of me😎.

But everyone calls me Gus😎!

I’m a big, fluffy white Golden Retriever with a huge personality and even more enthusiasm for life😛. Wherever I go, I like to make the most of every adventure🦹🏼‍♂️.

When I first started coming to Lynne’s Woof Pack, I had lots of energy and was always ready for fun🤪. Since then, I’ve worked really hard on my recall, and now I can enjoy exploring the fields while always making my way back when I’m called🤓.

If there’s mud💩… you’ll find me in it. If there’s water💦… I’ll definitely be in that too! Splashing around, getting filthy, and living life to the fullest is my idea of a perfect day😍.

My legs sometimes need a little extra care🤕, and everyone at Lynne’s Woof Pack understands exactly how to support me so I can enjoy my days comfortably while still having plenty of fun☺️.

I’m quite happy doing my own thing and having a peaceful wander around the fields🌾, but I also love spending time playing with my doggy friends whenever the mood takes me🤷🏼‍♂️.

One thing I’ve become much better at is walking on my lead😬. I used to get a little overexcited🤭, but with lots of patience and consistency, I’ve learned that walks can be calm and enjoyable too😁.

Every day I get to run, splash, sniff, explore, and come home tired, muddy, and happy😀… and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Thank you, Lynne’s Woof Pack, for helping me grow, supporting me every step of the way, and letting me be the fun-loving, water-loving, mud-covered Gus that I am💪🏻.

HI IM LUCA🐆🐶

When I first arrived at Lynne’s Woof Pack, I think it’s fair to say I made an impression😏... and not always a quiet one😅!
I came in like an absolute house on fire🔥. Everything was exciting, everyone was exciting🤩, and I wanted to be involved in absolutely everything all at once😜. Joe quickly realised he had his work cut out for him😲!
The other dogs weren’t quite sure what to make of this big black whirlwind charging around the place💨, but the humans could see that underneath all that enthusiasm was a good boy who just needed a bit of help learning the ropes🤓.
With lots of patience, guidance, and plenty of adventures alongside Joe😎, I’ve started to figure things out. I’ve learnt that I don’t have to be involved in everything, all the time, and that making friends is a lot easier when you don’t arrive at 100mph😊!
These days I’m much more settled, I’ve made some great friends in the pack🤗, and I’m really starting to enjoy being part of the Woof Pack family😍.
I still have my moments (Joe would probably laugh at that bit🤣), but I’ve come a long way and everyone is really proud of me😃.
Not bad for a dog who arrived like a furry tornado🖤!

HI IM LOKI🦹🏽‍♂️🐶

Yes, that Loki — whirlwind of paws🐾, prince of zoomies🤴🏽, and official Doggie Grandson of the Woof Pack (very important title, I think😏).

I started daycare recently, which is basically the greatest invention in the history of ever🤩. Imagine a place where every single thing moves, squeaks, bounces, or wags🐭 — and you’re allowed to chase all of it🏃. That’s daycare. I arrive like a small, scruffy hurricane💨, and leave like… well, a slightly more tired hurricane😴.

I love my furry friends😍. All of them. Immediately. Intensely. Sometimes I love them so much that I forget they might not want to be rugby tackled at full speed🏉. Or nibbled😬. Or pounced on from behind like a stealthy (but not very stealthy) jungle predator🐯. I’m learning though. Apparently “gentle” is a thing. Apparently “take a break” is also a thing. I have… questions about both🧐.

There’s also this word humans keep using: “No.”

Now, I’ve heard it a lot. I mean, a lot.
“No, Loki.”
“No biting.”
“No, not like that.”
“No, that’s not a toy.”

I’m starting to think “No” might be my second name🤨.

But here’s the thing — I’m trying. I really am🤓. Sometimes I catch myself mid-pounce and switch to a polite bounce instead. Sometimes I remember that not every ear is for tugging👂. Sometimes I even sit when asked🐒… briefly… before the excitement explodes out of me again like fireworks🧨.

Everything is just so exciting🤪. The smells, the sounds, the friends, the grass🌾, the humans, the toys that may or may not be toys — how is a puppy supposed to stay calm when the world is this brilliant😃!

They say I’m making good progress. I don’t know exactly what “progress” is, but it seems to make the humans smile😊, and I like that. I like making everyone happy almost as much as I like chasing things😎.

Okay, maybe not almost as much. But it’s close🤏.

Anyway, I’ve got important business to get back to — there’s a friend across the room who hasn’t been enthusiastically greeted in the last 12 seconds, and that simply won’t do🤷🏼‍♂️.

I’m Loki.
I’m learning.
I’m loving.
And I’m definitely not done zooming yet😜!

I’ve done this loads of times. I know exactly what’s happening. Still doesn’t stop it😅.

The door opens—I’m in. And then it comes out…

The scream😱.

Loud, proud, full of everything I’ve got. Not a bad scream—a good one😃. The kind that says “THIS IS THE BEST DAY EVER,” every single time😎.

We arrive and it’s chaos—in the best way. Leads off, paws down🐾, and I’m straight into it. Quick hello👋🏻, then play. Chase, wrestle🤼, sprint—again and again. If there’s a stick🪵, I want it. If someone’s running🏃, I’m right behind them🤪.

I don’t miss a second. You never know which part’s the best, so I do all of it😆.

I’ve done walks before. I know the routine💪🏻.

But it still feels like the first time.

And on the way home, muddy and happy💩. I’m already thinking about the next one💭.

Yeah… I’ll scream again😜.

And I have a lot of energy💨

Like… a LOT🫣.

The kind where my paws move faster than my brain sometimes🧠. The kind where everything is exciting — the wind, a leaf🍃, a shadow, Echo blinking… honestly, how does he blink so slowly? I’ve tried it. I can’t🫣.

Echo is my big brother👨🏽. He’s calm. Proper calm. The kind of calm where he just sits and watches the world like it’s a nice, slow TV show🧘‍♂️. I used to think he was missing out on everything.

“Echo! Play!”🤪
Tail wag. Bounce. Spin. Bark

Echo: blink

That’s it. That’s his whole response😲.

Then I started going to Lynnes Woof Pack.

BEST. PLACE. EVER🤩.

The first time I went, I thought I’d discovered my life’s purpose. Dogs! Space! Smells🐽! Things to chase! I didn’t walk in — I launched in. Full speed. Maximum Pebbles😎.

Joe saw it straight away.

Didn’t try to stop me being… well, me. Just helped me figure out how to use all that energy properly💪🏻. Turns out not every moment needs to be a zoomies moment. (I know. I was shocked too🧐.)

I started learning things like, When to play, how to listen (still working on that one… a bit😋), how to chill… without falling asleep standing up💤. At first, “calm” felt weird👽. Like wearing someone else’s paws🐾. But Joe kept things fair, clear, and fun. No confusion. Just helping me understand how to think and play😝.

And slowly… I got it. Now I still run. I still play😁. I’m still Pebbles. But I don’t feel like I have to do everything all at once anymore. When I get home, Echo notices. I’ll walk in — not crash in — and sit near him. Sometimes I nudge him to play🤓. Sometimes I just lie down beside him. He gives me that look again. The quiet one. This time, I think I understand it😊. It’s not that he was missing out before. He just already knew something I was still learning. You can be full of energy⚡️… and still be calm. You can run fast… without rushing everything😌.

You can be Pebbles… Just a slightly more in-control version🤷🏼‍♂️.
